COVID19: Perspective From A (Sort Of...) Expert-Adjacent Person

Please don’t speak ill of heroes. He knew what to do before COVID-19 was here, and he knows what to do next. Questioning him shows your lack of faith. Sir Fauci allows you free will, but you don’t have to be stupid with it.

It’s not the same thing and that’s obvious except to people like Pat and his ilk.

Don’t think we had a ton of knowledge on Covid-19 specifically huh? Unless you’re saying since he unleashed it on the world after fifty years of research to doom us.

The real heroes are the ones who didn’t give a shit what science said they were going to do the opposite and troll message boards no matter what. They bravely worked from home during the whole pandemic on this. Which fortunately they were already working from home as they were unemployed.

Someone on here (whose account has been banned/suspended) sent plandemic to me through facebook, that’s how I found out about it. Also laughed through it

Given enough time, everything I have ever predicted has come through in spades. It’s unsurprising to me that the left makes a strawman out of everything. Apparently, people are not paying attention.
The lab-leak hypothesis is gained enough traction that is is now considered the more likely scenario. That has nothing to do with intent. What was intentional was the cover up by the CCP and most of corporate media.
Fauci himself admitted that the lab-leak theory needs to be investigated, which is a complete flip-flop from his previous position. And since he’s been wrong pretty much about everything, the guy is clearly incompetent and needs to be fired.
So here are some sources:

Here’s a timeline:
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/timeline-how-the-wuhan-lab-leak-theory-suddenly-became-credible/ar-AAKlIOr

No, do explain. Fauci called the China traval ban racist and then later praised it. In January 2020 was down playing the virus and encouraging people to go on cruises, go to gyms and movies in February (nothing to see here). He lied about masks, many times, about not needing them and then later about their efficacy, when there was no evidence, and then double masking. He lied about China’s cover up. He lied about funding the Wuhan lab, the he when he got caught, he lied that he was not interested in ‘gain of function’ and later claiming that ‘gain of function’ research was essential claiming that not doing it would have been a “dereliction of duty”, though it potentially caused the most catastrophic pandemic since 1917. And the list goes on and on and on. Meanwhile, congress, state department, governors and townships were following HIS advice on lockdowns and preventative measures that apparently had little effect on the spread.
I don’t know why the MSM is even admitting the lableak hypothesis is not only possible, but probable now, but they are. I figured they would just lie like normal.
And how many lives have been destroyed, jobs lost, folks deplatformed for daining to entertain the lab-leak hypothesis? Many. But claiming the lab-leak hypothesis was strangely called ‘racist’.
So now I take ‘racism’ to mean, ‘facts the left can’t explain’, because everytime someone dares utter a dissenting position, that person is called a racist. Well, its time to wake up out of your coma, the facts are starting to come out and Fauci is slap-damn in the middle of it.

I said the man lied, I didn’t say he caused the pandemic. Though it’s starting to look like he had a role in it. But I didn’t declare intent regarding his funding for the Wuhan Virology Lab. The fact is, that they recieved funding from organizations he gave money to, to fund research. He said the money wasn’t supposed to go to ‘gain of function’ while under examination, but later said such research is essential.
Regardless, the man lied and continues to lie. And based on those lies, policy was made, devastating, disastrous policy. Where the truth would have likely prevented unhinged policies to be undertaken. The guy lies all the time. I never said he or China deliberately unleashed this on the world. But China did cover up and Fauci covered for them. And he lied and continues to lie. What hard about that to understand? Are you putting the trust of your health and well being in the hands of a TV doctor? Do what you want, but I think that’s irresponsible.

Really hard for me to remain civil here. Are you seriously accusing Fauci of downplaying the virus and not Donald Trump? Trump was king in terms of catering towards covid denial

Catering towards conspiracy theories like this detracts from any validity other statements you make have.

Yes, out of the politicians in power last year; Fauci was the one who spewed a whole lotta bullshit… Sure… The irony within many of the statements you’re making here ceases to amaze me

Surely you must admit you have an EXTREME bias here “Fauci is a Democrat, therefore he’s a liar and a crook!”

It was Fauci that botched the response to covid, not the man who disbanded the pandemic response team because it was created by Obama despite having been warned of an incoming pandemic dozens of times.

What does Trump have to do with what Fauci did? Fauci did down play it in January and February. Don’t take my word for it, look at what he said. I wasn’t comparing him to anybody else, that’s what HE did.

Conspiracy?

I don’t know what Fauci is politically, I never heard his political views. What I do know the guy lied, knowingly and willingly. I have the receipts to back it up, please look at the articles posted. I used left wing sources mostly so you’d believe them.

No you don’t, you’re taking news articles and applying them totally out of context in an effort to fit your narrative.

Nothing, though Trump was shitting all over Fauci whenever he tried to express how serious this virus is. It’s amusing you’re blaming Fauci over a few statements when the king of botched response in terms of handling this pandemic was the president. But no… It’s Fauci’s fault…

Left wing sources? Do you think I’m some sort of woke liberal? I prefer unbiased news outlets, of which are very hard to come by nowadays. I’m more inclined to source information from both sides, extrapolate upon data available to me and make an opinion through multiple narratives + my own interpretation of data.

The “no need for masks” thing was being championed by the WHO at that time as well. Where I live, lots of people have never let it go since the government was following WHO guidelines at the time and were literally giving out flyers with cartoon illustrations stating masks are not needed and some people are still circulating memes of locals “experts” who were saying there was no need for masks.

South Korea, Taiwan, HK and China were the only countries at that time that were telling everyone to wear masks.

Some fuckheads in the fucking media in China also took the opportunity to blame the CDC, not the WHO for starting the “no need to wear masks” shit for the past year. Oh, the Italians didn’t initially wear masks either? That’s because they’re all in cahoots with, and thus only listen to the US! So were we!

I’m NOT making this up.

Ask @anna_5588 .

To be fair, opportunists in the media and politics did seize the chance to call Trump racist or xenophobic when he banned flights from China and other countries.

And the WHO and CDC have ONLY JUST acknowledged that “airborne transmission” is “possible” after over 1 fucking year and after over a HUNDRED MILLION people have been infected. My brain almost imploded after reading that.

The CDC telling people masks are not needed after vaccination is also idiotic both pragmatically and practically for want of more science and shit pertaining to the new strains and basic fucking common sense.

How the fuck is anyone going to know someone is fully vaccinated? Do they have fucking signs on their foreheads?

Also, we have a cluster here in which 1/2 of the people were fully vaccinated. (I’ve just got my first shot of the vaccine so I’m 100% not an anti-vaxxer.)

Current “developments”(or just speculation in the scientific community, I don’t fucking know) in science and shit are also stating that longer times between the 2 vaccine shots actually increase immunity when one receives the 2nd shot, which is again leading people to question the validly of these claims since they think it could be the government just wanting more people to get vaccinated by convincing people to delay their second shot since we have a shortage of vaccines at the moment.

Fuck ALL of them.

I’m choosing my own narratives now.

Fauci did a fucking Wesley Snipes during 911. That’s what all the evidence points to.

Just look at him. Tell me he doesn’t look like a Day Walker.

EDIT:

Btw, how was your vaccination? You mentioned it above. I’ve not even experienced any PIP yet. Must be all the shitty UGL and dubious esters I’ve hypothetically used before that’s made my body more tolerant to shit like this lol. I joked somewhere else that I instinctively asked the nurse what the ester was and hypothetically requested to get the shot in a different shoulder because the other one still hypothetically has some scar tissue but I don’t think anyone got it hahahahaha.

The nurse said “it’s going to sting” prior to the shot. In my head I was hypothetically going, “Fuck, bring it on. I’ve done 3ccs of test e and tren ace in one shot in the same fucking place before. This is kid’s stuff.”

Roids are good. Stupidly abusing them in some of the dumbest of ways is even better.

(JOKING. JUST JOKING.)

Also, why are you guys whining about the authorities being wrong? Aren’t you all fucking cowboys?(Sorry, couldn’t resist it. Die Hard rocks.) The fact that they’re wrong some times shouldn’t be a surprise, let alone enough to lead to a fucking conspiracy theory.

I started wearing a mask BECAUSE I had no fucking trust in the authorities. Then they all flipped their stances.

Yippee ki yay motherfuckers.

Is co-funding research with China really surprising? WE also co-fund research with China because of SARS. So does fucking Japan. And South Korea. It’s just that we usually (allegedly) get the short end of the stick when it comes to information sharing because it’s fucking China we’re dealing with.

Did the stupid fucking fringe media give you too many mental images of the Wuhan lab being a secret biological weapons research facility? If it were, NO ONE would know it exists.

You think the CCP can’t easily hide one when they have practically reduced the only information about Xinjiang to eye witness accounts and pictures which were taken when they ALLOWED reporters in under strict supervision?

Do you have any idea how big and populated Xinjiang is? How hard do you think it would be to hide a small lab?

Also, if science changes constantly when something new like COVID surfaces, I’m cool with it. It’s normal.

If it DOESN’T, that’s when I get fucking scared. THAT’S WHEN it’s become politics, not science.

The media did this with Australia when Aus banned flights from India recently. Do I think Australia is a racist country compared to the USA? Certainly… unlike the BS narrative in the USA, Australian society actually does appear to harbour a level of systemic racism. But banning flights from India had nothing to do with race.

India is a third world country of which may not have up to par contact tracing/mitigation protocols as is evident with their current case load. Australia is still pursuing a net elimination mentality, hence why Victoria is now under stage 4 lockdown again (over like 15 cases). Aus blocked flights to India over fear of transmission, the decision had nothing to do with race. How one could spin this in a manner as to play the race card absolutely boggles my mind.

So far it appears as if vaccinations are quite effective against the new strains. A vaccinated individual is far less likely to pick up covid-19 and they’re somewhat less likely to transmit it if infected. It’s still a possibility however, though if the entire population was vaccinated I’d say mask mandates would be uncalled for.

In Aus the bridge between vaccinations has always been 10-11 weeks, as per the recommendation of initial clinical trials.

I wouldn’t dispute that at the moment.

My question is can the entire population really be vaccinated AND within the time frame during which the vaccines have been proven to be effective (6 months from the second jab, IIRC)?

We’ve seen estimates of the percentage of the population that needs to be vaccinated to create some degree of herd immunity go up from 60% to 80% and counting since the new strains emerged.

I think covid will become endemic, similar to the flu. Not possible to eliminate unless every country turns into a hermit nation like Aus.

At this point given the immense anti Isreal sentiment and growing level of societal anti-Semitism I’m directly perceiving coupled with Australia’s increasingly paternalistic attitude towards running society I’m seriously considering making Aliyah next year. Our government is going to keep borders shut til a minimum of mid 2022 and we are still snapping state border shut. Victoria is in stage 4 lockdown with 5km radiuses over 25 or so cases over the span of a week. This mentality isn’t changing, we’ve only vaccinated (fully) 1.7% of our population. I could go on and on as to why it’ll take sooooo long to fully vaccinate Australia but I’d form a book.

Sure, I’m grateful to be safe… But I’m not grateful that my grandmother overseas is dying, I’ll never see her again and funerals appear to be exempt from being granted a travel permit now. I’ve also missed two large family weddings consisting of close family members.

Sixteen months in and were only getting worse, with media catering towards intensive fear mongering and uncertainty. The attitude within Australians sickens me, I never knew we had such a nationalistic streak coupled with a severe lack of empathy towards those travelling overseas. It’s almost as if we are a spoilt brat country. I

I’d have to leave my dog who I love to bits and still see on weekends so it’s a decision I’m not taking lightly. Currently doing a lot of research to decipher the currently nature and potential trajectory of the Isreal/Palestine conflict. If I’m going to serve in the millitary I want to be damn sure the values of a given country align with my moral compass.

At this point I wonder how we will fare economically vs other countries. The United states, the epitome of a nightmare scenario is opening up faster than we are, small businesses (including 50% of all independently owned guns) are going under like no tomorrow, universities are making unprecedented budget cuts (my Chem class has 600 people), almost all learning is online despite us having next to no covid. It looks like quantas is going under, looks as if China might suspend trade with Aus (particularly revolving around iron ore). Whilst we may be doing "okay’ relative to other countries now… Give it a year or two when the rest of the world has opened up and we are a hermit nation.

At this point I seriously fear for my future if I stay here. Get this, most people living here are on board with keeping borders shut for another 2-5 years! People are so afraid, perhaps to the point that it’s gotten out of hand/out of proportion to the actual risk now that we have vaccines. But get this, 30% of adults have said they won’t get vaccinated… Massive push towards anti intellectualism over the past few years over here. Big yobbo culture here too…

Perhaps I’m blowing things out of proportion? What do you think @dt79

Edit: realised talking about AAS equates to derailing thread. Will reply on war on drugs thread.

Sorry, I really don’t know. I know next to nothing about Australia.

IMO I do not think there’s any real doomsday scenario that will happen given that you guys have been able to constantly develop and stay economically competitive all this while.

“Anti-intellectualism”? Meh. It’s been like that all over the world for as long as I can remember. It’s just that social media nowadays is revealing it. I’ve had to “code switch” multiple times a day for 2 decades over here or some people may think I’m too “educated” to be taken seriously lol. Some will think I’m a foreigner who has apparently stolen a job from one of them.

If I write and post shit online locally the way I do here, people will ridicule me for using “complex” words and shit.

Fucking hell, I’ve been told to get off public transport before when I was conversing with a friend in proper English on the phone because some loon thought that means I’m obviously fucking wealthy.

Don’t let the loons who shout loudest online get to you. They’re usually part of a small minority.

Unreal over in The Tactical Life was mentioning anticipation of herd immunity being reached. In this article the idea is put forward that that will never totally happen.

Out of context? It’s all in context, you just don’t like facts that don’t fit your narrative and these are facts. Go on and try to prove otherwise.

If anything Trump should have fired his lying ass. But this isn’t about Trump. This is about Fauci. Not everything is about Trump. But there is no known cure for TDS, so you can live in your delusion, but it’s not going to change the facts. Fauci is going down for his lies and manipulations and there is nothing you can do about it.

Chile, Seychelles and the UAE have one thing in common - they all relied on the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine for their immunization campaigns. It seems that it’s efficacy is questionable and third jabs are also being discussed.

Explains why we’re not seeing an uptick in Israel.

It might not, though according to the current clinical data available vaccination nearly eliminates the potential for severe sickness in those who are fully immunised. So this will probably turn into an thing like the flu, but with mass vaccination far fewer will die.

Covid isn’t going away, though we can reduce the sheer lethality associated with the virus. In which case we need to focus on harm minimisation as opposed to elimination which has proven to be damn near impossible.
