I mix my cottage cheese with tuna! This makes both these foods more palatable than they would be alone. I mix them into a kind of mush. A tomato cut into small pieces and some salt and pepper gives it more taste.
I do that too. When I first heard about the combo - I thought there’s no way that can be good - but it is! I also substitute the tomato with celery or green pepper for variety.
As for oatmeal - I cook it up with a little salt, water and a little bit of milk. When it’s done I mix in frozen blackberries and sometimes add a splash of maple syrup. It’s great![/quote]
Here was me thinking I had made that combo up myself! Maybe I had read it somewhere. Whatever, it tastes good.
Oatmeal + Raisins + Honey = Better than oatmeal alone. I like oatmeal alright, but without something, it tastes like wallpaper paste.
And if you don’t care for the texture of cottage cheese, you can try to find different size curds. There are large, small, and what I call micro curds. Personally I can’t stand the micro curds cause it reminds me of a paste. But some other people love it.
p.s. Splenda is evil. Not only does it taste like horse shit but its made with a chloride. That’s right, a chloride. Look into something called Stevia if you’re that afraid of honey (which I think you’d have to be nuts).
Cottage Cheese recipe:
1Cup of Cottage Cheese + 1 tablespoon of dried chives + a few sprinkles of Old Bay seasoning.
Oatmeal recipe:
Add 1/2 cup oatmeal to 1.5 scoops of protein powder and three tablespoons of all-natural peanut butter (or power butter for those you can really expend calories). Mix together and then roll with hands into bite-sized balls. Mmmmmmmmmm…
