Coronavirus - What Happened?

This statement means that the CCP won the propaganda war.

So is people paying taxes, and it looks like we might be paying more taxes than before.

It means that them and Trump have equal credibility.

I don’t think the US had anything to do with this outbreak, seeing how many people have it in the US and the problems it is causing, it just makes no sense to believe that. But the possibility remains that it didn’t actually start in China, just the first major outbreak of people with severe symptoms was there.

Hi, I am a bit late to the party but concerning the ā€œintelligenceā€ of the orange man:

English IS NOT my first language and I was always a very lazy student, so I never reached a high level but even to me this sounds like a 4 year old or my grandparent who has dementia. Just listen to one complete speach (not a cut version). I have no idea how anyone would want this to be their president.

It was funny to read about people buying guns in the US and how a state of emergency with controls by the police/military would lead to extreme violence. Just imagine how small your dick must be to get violent about this. Maybe we should get help to the US for building that wall BUT only if they promise to keep all of their people inside of it. But let the internet be free so we can still go ā€œslummingā€.

The genome of the virus was sequenced (the CCP tried to suppress it being published) and it’s a corona virus found in bats. Chinese wet markets are the source, end of story.

Everything else is just muddying of the waters.

Hey, you guys elected Hitler. People make bad decisions sometimes.

Hitler didn’t get a majority of votes. He also wasn’t elected.

Do you think the scientists at Oxford did not investigate this as part of their study? I don’t believe we have the full picture just yet.

Neither did Trump

But Trump was elected, Hitler wasn’t. He was appointed by Hindenburg.

Why would they when other scientists already did it?

Ok, so how did Hindenburg gain a position in which he could appoint the fuhrer? Was Germany not at all democratic back then?

But then why would they even do a study at all?

There is nothing to argue about here, and I don’t have an opinion either, I would just be happy to hear that this whole thing is a major overreaction to something that has been going aroound for a while. Oxford isn’t Chinese propaganda or a mail-order degree type of school, if they are publishing research on this topic then it deserves consideration. It could be wrong, but it needs to be proven wrong before it can be dismissed.

Hitler thing was already corrected. If you want to read up on it:

(sorry it is late here and you can read it for yourself if you want to)
PLUS we have really learned from that lesson: Never again is something like a national credo. Trump is regarded as highly racist and would be in an extremist party over here. We dont like Nazis…
In our constitution the first article says: (1) Die Würde des Menschen ist unantastbar. Sie zu achten und zu schützen ist Verpflichtung aller staatlichen Gewalt.
" Human dignity shall be inviolable. To respect and protect it shall be the duty of all state authority."
2 The German people therefore acknowledge inviolable and inalienable human rights as the basis of every community, of peace and of justice in the world.

Learn to swim!

I’m getting to that point with all of this.

ā€œDon’t be stupid be a smarty. Come and join the NAZI party!ā€

Esentially, it was a bad gambit in the internal squabbles of the nationalist right to prevent the Communists from seizing power, by forming a Nazi-nationalist alliance.

If anything, it has shown us how ā€œcentristsā€ always manage to control a populist demagogue and not turn into doormats five minutes later…

I don’t know about Trump being racist, he is certainly opposed to illegal immigration but it’s mostly that a lot of racists support him. There are also a growing number of black people who support his as well.

For the record, I live in Canada and I don;t like Trump, I just think that his opponents are going after him for the wrong things.

Same here. I would rather we said based on the data we had we made some tough decisions that would be unpopular and painful. Our health experts feared that with the way this was trending it might overwhelm the global health resources and lead to a lot of death.

Far better for me to have us look back and have people say you overreacted. I don’t mind people dunking on me for how my opinion changed since the beginning. Our grandchildren can read and laugh about the time we were forced to watch Netflix and play video games in an era where we always did that but not as much as we wanted.

It likely would even if the Oxford study is correct. It can’t be business as normal no matter what, those at risk need to take the appropriate precautions such as self-isolating. We might need to start wearing masks on a regular basis like they do in China.

Dont worry, if we look back and it was an overreaction there will be no longlasting consequences. 2.2 trillion dollars will have been spent proping up big business and renewing the incestuous relationship it has with free taxpayer funded giveaways. We should find a reason to do this every ten years or so.
