Coronavirus - What Happened?

You’re tilting against windmills. I believe there is plenty of blame to go around to a lot of people. You’ve only focused on blaming Trump so I’d like to know where you’ve sourced your objective opinions.

Based upon his prior track record… And current actions

He has a hell of a lot of blame on his hands considering he could’ve taken action months ago… And was warned to do so.

Please quote my justification of previous wrongs. Stealing from anybody is wrong regardless of who is doing it.

So how many times do I need to say previous presidents are to share some blame?

The focus needs to be on what the current president did in the recent history and has done now and plans to do. It makes sense to discuss those things more than say “you know who’s to really blame…Jimmy Carter!”

Surely you understand why people are talking more about the current President than previous ones.

Did you just bring this up for fun?

I don’t know why you would bring that up for no reason. Do you understand implications?

Have I said otherwise? I just find it amusing the people who say Trump supporters never criticize him generally refuse to do the same with their favorite politician.

Untrue, I criticized Obama over the Iran Nuclear deal, I criticized Bernie over his stance on Isreal… And many other things… It appears Trump Supporters have unwavering support, no matter what… With Nixon after the impeachment trial support dwindled… Here, no matter what Trump seemingly can’t do anything wrong.

Perhaps you don’t align with this, but I’ve met my fair share of Trump supporters who think he’s perfect, no matter what he does.

Because the default team Trumper defense mode is to say well someone else did something bad so think about that instead!

C is basically acting like Trump does solely. It’s kinda sad to watch.

Because I’m curious if you’ve ever criticized the person responsible for stealing this money. Do you criticize the politicians you agree with?

I try to judge an action not by who did it if that is what you are asking. Additionally, I don’t like the defense of this person did this, so it is okay that other person did similar action. The previous person’s actions do not change the morality of the later person’s actions.

Then, too, my post wasn’t directed to you.

He has no relevance unless we are acting like millennial crybabies who need a boogeyman.

You know this is not true. I agreed Trump has to shoulder blame for government inaction. Can you provide criticisms you had for any of Obama’s actions?

We are in agreement then. I have not attempted to provide a defense of Trump’s reaction to the China virus if you are referring to anything I said.

Not closing Gitmo. Not legalizing weed. The bailout without provisions. Slow on gay rights. Common Core. Not pushing to address the way some Americans live in certain parts of this country. I could go on.

Just know that you are opening a can of worms. If someone ever cries about slavery in reference to conditions today, you can’t dismiss that argument because it happened in the past. At what point is it OK to criticize someone for something that is happening now?

Really? Even when a former member of his administration criticizes Trump’s response? Seems a tad hypocritical to me.

Why can’t a citizen criticize the president?

To play devil’s advocate here, doesn’t look like Biden will either, even though the vast majority of the populace supports it.

I don’t know if the majority of the population supported cannabis legalisation when Obama was voted in

The massive uptick in marijuana advocacy seems to be recent, perhaps I’m wrong though… either way, It’s about fucking time

So would you agree Monday morning quarterbacking is unhelpful in general? Especially when the crises is still occurring and no one knows all the known facts?

A citizen certainly can but you can’t hide behind that when speaking as an expert during a previous administration.
