Coronavirus - What Happened?

What happened to the cold/flu?

Possibly an indicator of how masking, distancing and hygeine measures cut the risk of the seasonal flu and colds, and also an indicator of how much more contagious the COVID variants are?

I think the first part is something everyone can agree on.

If thats the case, then covid numbers would be low too

You don’t think masking, distancing and improved hygeine reduce the transmission risk of the seasonal flu, colds and COVID?

It’s a different virus you pleb.

How is the flu transmitted and how is covid transmitted,

Stop the name calling

Of course, but if the flu numbers went down…then why didn’t covid numbers stay down

I have a right to call you what I like. Don’t take away my rights you nazi.

Why are you a racist and a pedophile

I will be what ever you want me to be sweet cheeks.

You must luv my cheeks, nice and plump for ya

The COVID numbers didn’t stay down? Compared to the previous years COVID numbers?

So again, are you arguing against the statement that masking, distancing, and increased hygeine reduced the spread of COVID? Or is that something we can agree on?

If you are asking why COVID and flu numbers are not more similar, the answer is like undereporting of flu, and the much greater contagiousness of COVID.

I believe there was under reporting of the flu and over reporting of covid…due to hospitals getting more money for covid

Corruption at its best

I agree about the social distancing and hygiene and masks under certain circumstances. Which is why I very seldom get sick
.

Well that would be pretty damn awesome if it turns out to be true.

Hey, maybe even sell it to China to pay down our debt. Checkmate. Vote CG 2024!

They would just knock it off and sell it on Ali Express back to us.

With some type of time released mutation that changes like an encryption code.

I am not going to repost the studies showing social distancing and masks do little to nothing because you seem to ignore them but, even if I accepted they worked as preventative measures you think that would cut numbers down damn near 100%? You can not be serious.

*Not trying to be a dick, genuine question. You think that would be possible?

As I posted above. It started with 2 weeks to flatten the curve so, that we can keep hospitals under capacity now it is 3-4 shots and possible boosters, to do the same. You see no issues?

You do not find it weird that the vast majority or at least a large percentage of people who got the vaccine did so because,

-They wanted to be able to get back to normal lives i.e eating out etc (how is that going by the way)

-Did not want to lose their jobs.

-Pressure from family and friends

Seems like odd reasons for deadly pandemic

To anyone trying to convince the believers: If someone still believes, you’re not going to talk them out of it. If someone believed the first week of April or so last year, you may have had a chance…but not at this point.
