Coronavirus - What Happened?

I thought it was obvious given the post I was linking, which had pictures and everything. And you referring to the Mayor/Governor yourself. And talking about the bar yourself. Next time I will use crayons.

And everything is linked. Even if ONE area doesn’t seem particularly affected in the short term, they’ll eventually feel the full effects of a nation wide economic decline.

Who will survive?

It will be the big retail chains and all who have the funds to eat losses, acquire further investments or be acquired, upgrade and build infrastructure digitally - which is what they’re CURRENTLY DOING. Certainly not the small retail businesses.

Then people will start whining about breaking them up because they’re too big and blah blah fucking blah it all goes in a circle like the fucking Tao.

You thought based on this question: "Why is this unconstitutional? I’m not asking why it’s bad policy, a bad decision, or anything else. I’m asking why the situation is unconstitutional.ā€
That it was obvious for me to assume that you were referring to a case that hasn’t been even submitted to a court, much-less decided by one from that question?
Yeah, use the big crayons and speak very slowly.

Then you know I didn’t say anything about binding precedents. Just that there is precedent under the law.

Your interpretation of ā€œprecedentsā€ and the emphasis you placed on them led me to assume you thought they were binding, which is TRUE if they were from, say, the Supreme Court. Because anyone who knows anything about precedents wouldn’t be using them in this manner. And now I have the fucking Law and Order theme song stuck in my head. Crap.

I think the wife will need at least a little more time before she goes back. Based off the length she maintained a fever IMO.

@SkyzykS yeah the spark plugs aren’t firing. Think the distributor must be faulty at the moment.

A present for you!

Oh holy fuck no! My wife would binge watch old episodes with my dad on weekends. I couldn’t stand watching them other than some episodes with the really old dude playing one of the cops. The fucking ADA or whatever he was looked like he was on coke all the time.

Fuck, it was this guy. Couldn’t stand him.

At least it beats Columbo…

I think it takes a little while for the inflammation to go down and the lungs to drain even without pneumonia.

You big on cardio of any type? Something to get the heart pumping and clear any fluid in the lung tissue?

Those two are very tightly interrelated. When I start getting mild pulmonary edema, a diuretic and a half hour on the airdyne works wonders.

It’s worth mentioning that this was proven to not be the case in Scandinavia. Sweden imposed no lockdown measures and still saw about a 25% drop in consumer spending, compared to Denmark who imposed fairly harsh restrictions but only saw a 29% decrease in consumer spending while also seeing significantly better health outcomes. Covid was always going to cripple the world’s economies regardless of the approach taken.

Sweden closed things, reduced hours, etc.

I thought it was obvious the question was about NY and the specific ā€œedictā€ that Cuomo is referenced in, yes.

Also, the question regarding the diocese and orthodox congregations - which concerns the very edict you mention in that post - has been submitted to court.

Glad she seems to be feeling better though.

Happy you too kicked it without further pains.

Hah!! That got a reaction from you.

I have to admit I like the show (mostly the early seasons), but I know it’s different from reality.

Also the old codger was named Lenny.

Honestly it never hit my lungs… just some sinus inflammation along with my muscles and joints.

Lenny was like the ā€œnice old dude who would teach you lots of shit but wouldn’t pull seniority on youā€ kind of guys. I liked him. The show bored me to death. It was always the same shit happening and I REALLY couldn’t stand the ADA. Every single time he spoke it was like he was high on something. Dude sees his coffee mug empty and looks like he’s about to do a Hamlet ā€œto be or not to beā€ kind of soliloquy.

Oh, my bad. I was basing that on some assumptions. Thank goodness then! :+1:

And as Aragorn has expressed, speedy recovery for the wife too!

I’m always much more concerned for the ones close to me than I ever am about myself. Hope you can both come through stronger together for it.

Yeah that seems about right.

But when it’s 3am and you can’t sleep, that show becomes the best thing on TV :joy:

From the get go? If I’m not mistaken, they kept things open and went for the herd immunity approach with an aim towards protecting the most vulnerable of their populations (which they did a poor job of). They shifted course when they realized it wouldn’t work.

And they still had to do this while, if their stats are to be believed, it will take them 2 decades to reach herd immunity naturally if we use the most optimistic calculations possible.
