Coronavirus - What Happened?

Another rhetorical question and the answer is yes - you call your doctor and report the symptoms, who then (usually) orders self-isolation (or actual isolation, depending on a number of factors) and you’re automatically registered for state aid, regardless whether you end up getting tested or not.

Certainly matters. Still not sure why we wouldn’t look at other countries who have been more successful than us. No country is exactly like the US so attempting to say well comparisons can’t be helpful is foolish. We should absolutely be looking at what other countries are doing and how effective it is just like they are looking at us.

We have more cases than anyone else by far and more deaths by far. We should ask ourselves why this is and how we can use information from around the world to lessen the current spread and for future pandemics.

Cuz we are freedumb.

Actually you’re not wrong. Freedom. It’s much easier to control the spread of a virus when you can shoot those who break orders.

Yeah. But we also have a lot of wilfully ignorant assholes who don’t give a flying fuck about anybody but themselves.

They are freedumb.

They probably text and drive and fart in elevators.

Saw that on the news tonight. That’s a strange one. The policeman they interviewed was extremely tight lipped.

And believe that this is all some big hoax to un-elect trump/steal our rights/take our gunz/ruin the aconamee, compare it to the flu, etc.

I have a tough time understanding why this is the one time I’m supposed to believe numbers reported by other countries.

Thank you sir!

Not true. Your also supposed to believe numbers from other countries when they can be used to cast socialism in a positive light.

Yep. We should round up all those selfish people and shoot them. What’s the point of freedom if you make the wrong choices, right?

Who agrees or disagrees with her actions and why?

We are truly beginning to see the dire economic impact the shutdown orders are having on families, and that, my friends, cannot be denied.

You seem quite informed
What are the chances of another lockdown in the fall?

That’s quite the strawman for his post. We don’t need to shoot people, we just needed people to not be huge dumbasses. You know like how Senator Paul got tested and then he went ahead and used the pool and gym and was around all his co-workers while waiting for his results. Or when a Vice President is the only person not wearing a mask in a hospital which has a wear a mask policy.

That’s essentially selfishness and stupidity at the highest possible level. It has nothing to do with freedom.

Senator Paul also did not wear a mask yesterday when the Senate convened. Does that make him selfish?

I’m just a layman and I believe it would be wildly irresponsible to speculate about stuff I don’t know much about.

Everybody, including me, is an armchair epidemiologist these days.

I have a question for @Aragorn, Slovenia yesterday did an analysis for Covid-19 antibodies on a sample of 1318 random subjects in which 41 (3,1%) were positive for antibodies, and 2 of them were previously identified cases (can’t find a link in English, so I’m retyping the findings).

I understand this is line with similar analyses in Austria and the Czech Republic.

Thoughts?

Well at least you’re putting out sensible info and rational arguments… and are humble enough to know When to stop. Respect to you and @Aragorn

That’s a good question. Is it selfish for someone that definitely doesn’t have The Rona to not wear a mask?
