This dude is clearly not happy, lol
This goes back to my point. When people (not the stupid ones) realize the seriousness of the situation, each individual will act with the level of caution deemed appropriate. This govât mandated lockdown of 6 weeks and counting is unnecessary at this point.
Btw, I forgot to point out that imo, that one doctor dude youâve mentioned (with symptoms mind you) leading to a whole bunch of additional infected, would not happen now that people understand what is going on. Imo.
Itâs people like this using terms like âhoaxâ that lead to the people on the opposite spectrum digging in their heels and continuing to go all chicken little. Because now they have to prove themselves ârightâ, because thatâs the real issue!!!
Agreed. Thatâs the media for you, though.
I take it that it this doesnât include FOX/Conservative media?
I ask not as some knock on you, @anon50325502âŠbut because I hate that this has slowly morphed into a âright/leftâ issue (or is becoming so).
I guess with Donald J. Trump smack in the middle of it as President of the Republic; it was inevitable.
Canât help but notice who they are mad at. From an earlier article.
âThe coronavirus pandemic is bringing out the best in people â and the bad and the ugly.
The best is coming from front line responders, medical personnel and many others who put themselves at risk to save lives.
Then there are President Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, and the tireless officials and experts working around the clock to blunt the impact of the virus.â
Oddly enough the Washington Times was mad that that awful horrible media wasnât covering the President enough.
From the article:
âThe Washington Postâs media critic, Margaret Sullivan, wrote Monday that the briefings were beginning to sound like substitutes for Trumpâs campaign rallies, and were working against the goal of giving the public critical and truthful informationâ.
âThey have become a daily stage for Trump to play his greatest hits to captive audience members,â she said.
TDS is best addressed in the other dozen threads you guys have on here.
Honestly, I respect trump as a business person in the way heâs trying to leverage media attention (positive and negative)
Iâm just pissed at how idiotic his messages are and I have a feeling he says those things on purpose to get attention.
As the leader of any country facing a major crisis, nevermind that the US is generally considered a world leader, we canât afford to have this sort of behaviour
Info on an RTC for remdesivir just came out showing a positive improvement on recovery time. This was in contrast to the earlier smaller study that did not. We still need more info, but hopefully this gives us some help coming down the pipe.
Another example of shitty media reporting.
My recollection was the China studies had to be discontinued after there was an insufficient number of the severely ill patients (thatâs a good thing right?) required.
Then, there was another study (US?), with enough patients, that showed the positive improvement you describe.
(not going to look it up, because letâs face it, at this point everyone has their selective filters on for the news they want to focus on)
I got it, and it was funny. At least to me.
That might be a bad sign.
I have no idea I donât read or watch foxnewsâŠ
Did China not just put another city on lockdown?
Apparently more people have died from this in the US than the entire Vietnam war. That was surprising to me, but mainly because I thought the Vietnam war death total was higher than I originally would have said off the top of my head.
Gotta remember everyone weâre talking about here. Just the Vice President violating the Mayo Clinic policy. Sometimes itâs ok to do what everyone else is doing.

Yes, they did. China is a pretty big country.
Yeah thatâs the one. I posted the headline before I read the study facepalm. Bad form for me
How do you feel about drunk driving?
