The last time oil was this negative it was in the fucking dinosaurs.
2020: the year when wars will be fought against countries to make them keep their oil.

I just skimmed that really quickly. Can you actually get paid to take a barrel off their hands?
Theoretically, as the price is -30, you could. They were paying folks to get rid of it, but I doubt that means punters like us could purchase a barrel of crude and get 30 bucks handed to us.
Darn.
Youāre telling me. Iād have more barrels than Venezuela right now if so.
I figure it is just great that after all these decades demand for oil has dropped sharply. some places are reporting cleaner air! Isnāt that terrible?!
What do you mean by ride out? Is it trying to live lean until the situation improves?
Sex joke. āRideā someone. Juvenile humor attempt.
But I do feel for all people effected by this.
Where is P these days? The return of Thunderbolt has me thinking about how he has been a powerhouse poster.
A 30% quarterly GDP loss and ten thousand US shale job losses seem pretty bad to me.
I suppose they can always buy oil at -40 dollars a barrel though.
Naturally friend!
This is probably a tangent for the threadā¦then again, considering how many train wrecks this has already had I feel completely at ease with a D&D sidebar.
It is definitely a different game, but if you have some old timers they know exactly how to get everyone to enjoy it. You just canāt think of it like the game you know already. One of my old campaign buddies was playing it when it was called āChainmailā lol. Heās the only one we let run old school quests.
GRUPS sounds like a lot of fun but I agree. It seems very complex. Then again, I said the same thing before my first campaignā¦
I wish like hell I could purchase in bulk, I know a couple warehouses nearby. If I could only move the stash when demand spikes again!
Wellā¦fuck.
Gonna be watching how Taiwan handles this.
So far, the country thatās impressed me most in their containment methods after facing widespread community transmission is Israel.
Lolz

Likewise. Their hospital up scaling and technology sector continue to Impress.
IMO, we need to open up the economy in a manner where we are maxing out the healthcare system, but not pushing it over capacity. Again, the goal is not to prevent infection and deaths, it is simply to prevent a peak occurrence of infections and hospitalizations that result in unneccesary deaths due to not having capacity to treat them.
That said, this situation is new and we are playing everything by ear. The possible downsides of staying closed a few weeks too long pale in comparison to the downsides of opening to soon.
Testing is so crucial because with testing we can begin to open NOW and closely moniter infection rates in real time which will allow for real-time policy adjustments. This helps mitigate the risk of opening too early.
I love the heading.
