COOL stuff....

Check out the revamped “Bird of Prey” from the upcoming Star Trek: Nemesis here: Movie Reviews, Trailers, Interviews, Wikis & Posters for Movies - IGN articles/369/369531p1.html (space at “/” and “articles”). I also just “heard” that there is a strong possibility that John Carpenter is toying with the idea of a sequel to “The Thing” (The Thing 2?) - I’m looking into this and see if Carpenter is indeed attached.

T3 stuff: "I work at IKEA Burbank, and one of the Office planners was working on something that caught my attention. Last Monday, the crew from Terminator 3 dropped by my store to pick up $26,000 in business furniture for the office building they will be blowing up with a Jet fighter."

Spider-Man2 news: "It seems that Raimi has met with some of the Cirque du Solei team (choreographer Debra Brown- check out her Emmy nods) to improve on some if the aerial movements that were complained about in the first. "

OOH! And get this: Tim Burton appears to have signed to direct the Broadway musical version of BATMAN for the stage. Look here, for the New York Post story: http://www.nypost.com/ entertainment/47007.htm (space at "/" and "entertainment") - my opinion on this IF it is indeed true? YIKES.

Awesome BoP! I’ve downloaded it and am going to turn it into my desktop for a few weeks. Thanks for the tip!

a musical Batman? shudder That’s just wrong.

char: Good idea! I just did the same - wow - it IS a pretty swanky looking BoP!

MORE Stuff: "Punisher" movie- according ex-Cameron spouse, Producer Gale Ann Hurd, casting will begin next month. Filming would begin the next year. Jonathan Hensleigh (Gale's hubby), will be directing AND writing this puppy. Hensleigh has directed Con Air, Armegeddon, Die Hard with a Vengeance.

News and *SPOILERS* about Matrix 2 & 3 (read at your own risk)

......."Even if you have already seen impressive car chases, you have never seen one where guys jump from car to car and fight in the air in a Matrix style."

- Joel Silver, producer, says that "The Matrix Reloaded eplains why and how some of the characters can literally fly in the air, the origin of their superhuman strength. In fact, the Wachowskis imagined this story so as to make a superhero movie."

- The bad guy played by Collin Chou is called Seraph.

- Monica Bellucci's character is called Persefone, "an evil temptress" according to Joel Silver.

- Lambert Wilson, a french actor, plays Monica Bellucci's husband and above all, the role of the king of the virtual world. One of his capacity is notably to program himself in the language he wants. "

The stuff is coming in now, fast and furious- especially right after ANOTHER Con, The Dragon Con (which ended this past Sunday). Things like: a possible "The Simpsons Movie", the possible leak of a print of The Two Towers (yup, but was JUST confirmed that this did not happen) on the net, a screening of Shaolin Soccer (why didn't Miraxmax release it here in the states? bastards....).

I forgot which season of ?STNG? it was, but I think that it was ABOUT the third of fourth. It was that season that the Star Trek Creators made a conscious effort to delve deep into the culture of another species, the Klingons (I will NEVER forget Worf?s ?Right of Ascension? ceremony, as he went through a line of Klingons possessing pain sticks).

Anyway?I think that the Star Trek creators have consistently shown us fascinating peeks at the Klingons, recently ?The Borg? a little of the Vulcans (mostly via Spock) and of their distant cousins, the Romulans.

The Bird of Prey (even in the original series) was almost always the most fascinating and beautiful of the ships?seems like they?re keeping up the trend!

My bad: Hensleigh did NOT direct them movies I listed - he wrote them. Ooopsers. Just noticed my wee typo embarrassed giggle
