Converting ml to ccs

I order premixed Hucog 2000IU/1ml how many c.c.'s would I have to use for the protocol dose of 250IU, thanks for any help.

Edit

Math was wrong…

Are you sure it is 2,000 IU/mL?

That sounds very high concentration, here’s why:

2000 / 250 = 40

So you have 40 doses per mL. So then, for each dose, you are going to take 1 / 40 = 0.025 mL of liquid (this is the same as 0.025 cc). On a standard insulin pin, the tick marks range from 1-50 (or 1-100 if you have a 1 mL slin pin). So you would have to draw up in between the 2 and 3 tick marks (for 2.5). This is very imprecise and not a very good way to do things.

If I were you, I would cut it by adding another 1 mL of BAC Water so you effectively halve the concentration. That way you can draw up to the ‘5’ tick mark (0.05 mL, 0.05 cc) for convenience.

For this protocol, you need to add 1mL of bacterostatic water per IU of HCG. Since your premixed(2,000IU) comes with 1mL already, just add another 1mL of bacterostatic water.
