Well I thought maybe he was not born yet.
But then that would make him like 16 years old…wait

Basically whenever I’m in any sort of confrontational situation I get a massive adrenaline surge, beyond the extent of what is probably considered normal. My hands and feet go really cold and clammy and I feel palpatations and I continue to feel these effects for several hours afterwards I don’t necessarily feel scared when this happens, in fact most often it happens in completely benign situations.

Yeah I’m the same way, everyone on here seems to be interpreting this from the rage perspective though. For me, its the same benign type confrontations and my body physically seems to freak out, even though I’m fine in my head.
I determined this as my body activating the ‘fight/flight’ response, even though its not even remotely necessary. From what I’ve learned in my attempts to dealing with this is to not let yourself get worked up when waiting to ‘enter’ the situation. Basically don’t think about it, and over time you eventually get more and more comfortable with the situation.
This coincides with what another poster already said above about becoming a security guard and gaining experience with confrontation. If you expose yourself to the stimulus, you will slowly stop being affected by it.
Hope this helps
