Definitely sounds interesting
it would be helpful if you added your height. (I didn’t peruse every line of your scan results if your height was included.)

Nice. Mine was 2.09, so I gotta work on it. Most likely stress related.
5’10"
In my 20s and early 30s, I used to hit quads hard with back squats, Bulgarians, heavily loaded lunges with a quad emphasis, and tons of volume on the leg extension.
This was right before preparing for my figure competition 11-ish years ago. My quads were so developed in comparison to everything else, that they made me appear stockier. I didn’t know this until my competition coach brought it to my attention, and she had me stop training legs altogether.
So this is the fun/bizarre fact: My competition prep omitted legs. I wasn’t allowed to even use the stair stepper for cardio!
So detraining my legs and losing muscle there actually ended up making me look more proportional and it made my legs appear longer.
Beginning of competition prep versus competition day.
This was the open category. I won my height category and novice category, then came in third (last) in open. They clearly had me beat. But that was my first figure show and they were returning competitors, so meh.
Novice category. I was also extremely constipated.
Ironically, my legs looked way better when I jumped into CrossFit the very next year. There were no isolation exercises, but there was a ton of Olympic lifts and of course squats, front squats, and deads.
But since then, I’ve gotten back into hitting legs, just nothing like what I used to do because I know that with my long torso and proportionally shorter legs, a heavy emphasis on them tends to make me look stockier.
However, I am actually in this really fun place in life where I really enjoy my body. Some days more than others. ![]()
Male body fat distribution is working against you, but I think your number seems really low and healthy to me.
It said I should be at 1lb or below to be healthy.
It’s one of the reasons waist measurement remains an incredibly effective method of evaluating overall health, despite it’s primitive approach.
Also probably why, from a biological level, we just plain don’t like a big waist on men.
How long have you had those fabulous erectors. IMO, they are screaming for some thigh sweep.
Guess I didn’t read it too closely. ![]()
Yeah good call.
Thanks! That’s one of the things Chris commented on when we were dating.
I build spinal erectors pretty easily but can also build a muffin top pretty easily too! Haha
I think I’ll give that a try.
Bold move, sir. High five
I’m SO excited about this! I’ve been really curious about Igniter after reading the thread about it, but didn’t feel I could justify another such purchase to the husband just to check it out. Now I can check it out and see whether or not to work harder to justify it!
Thank you so much, Dani! And let me now go on record as saying that 20.3 is the ideal female body fat %. ![]()
Pro Tip: From a cost perspective, this works well: what does the item replace or partially replace? Example: Someone might find that they no longer need an afternoon energy drink or a Starbucks run after using Igniter in the AM. So, Igniter SAVES money!
I’m partially kidding, but honestly I haven’t had an energy drink or mid-morning coffee since Igniter came out. (And I only use one scoop.)
So stoked you’re getting to try it! Honestly, the mind benefits alone have caused me to take it occasionally on non-workout days too, just to get focused. I think you’ll enjoy the pumps, energy, and all that good stuff.
Aww that’s so kind! Hahaha ![]()
I hope you brag to your husband that another skill you have is the ability to accurately assess body fat percentages — just as well as a DEXA machine — right down to the .1 percentage point. That’s incredible!
So I was actually doing this math recently (mostly because Igniter is ridiculously amazing and I wanted to justify budgeting more for it lol) and if we’re assuming one scoop per use…
Assuming (because math) exactly 40 servings per container @ $59 equals $1.48 per serving…which is a whole lot cheaper than any energy drink out there (roughly $3 each, give or take some change).
Translation: every time you go to the gym and see someone drinking an energy drink…they could be having way more fun every single workout AND saving money to boot with a scoop of Igniter.
(and hey, who doesn’t want to support Biotest??)
Nice!
I showed this to him, adding it to my list of rare talents (along with being able to pick a good-but-deaf dog from a Petfinder photo). He was impressed. Sort of. ![]()
Well those are insanely cool skills! I’m impressed!
