1% Bob!
Awesome, got it added to the master list!
Added above to master list, although I’d be in the hospital if this were my body fat! ![]()
But price is right rules are fun!
Results are in: 20.3%
Congrats @EmilyQ! You nailed it! You get a free container of Igniter! I’ll be DM-ing you shortly for shipping info.
If anyone’s curious about the details of my fat, here ya go!
The whole concept of “gynoid” and “android” fat storage are pretty interesting. Gynoid is butt, hips, thighs, and android is abdomen. Other interesting thing is that bone mineral content (BMC) is not lumped in with lean mass for some reason.
Here’s my skeleton and a picture of my fat, highlighted. The orange is lean mass and the bright yellow is fat.
Craziest thing here is that the calf muscles appear wider than the quads. Not sure if it’s because they were smashed down on the table giving a wider appearance (from above) or if they actually are that much larger.
Thanks for participating everyone! ![]()
Look at that bone structure!!! ![]()
Thank you! I worked so hard to have a sexy skeleton. ![]()
Achieved!!! ![]()
I’m about 7% body fat according to the FLEXA scan. That’s when men add an inch of height and knock 7-8% off their body fat based on flexing just right in front of that one mirror at the gym with glamour-shot lighting.
Did it measure clavicle length?![]()
Congrats @EmilyQ! So, am I the lucky loser then? Do I get to keep the empty can when you’re finished @EmilyQ?
I have long been the measurement system analysis nazi on T-Nation. No reason to drop the measurement variation ball here.
Dexa scan is good to + or - 1 to 2%.
Let’s assume the lesser variation. Your actual percent body fat is between 19.3% and 21.3%.
It did — the results said 100% perfect, so I decided not even to tell y’all about it because… obviously.
Well this makes me 100% sure that I never want to know my body fat percentage. I have a feeling it would be disturbingly high. ![]()
Nah! Yours is likely fit/healthy I’m betting.
I think most people have a skewed perception of what body fat percentages look like for women. If you have a chance, check out the Jeff Nippard video up at the top of this thread. You’ll get a lot out of it — I did! ![]()

fair enough
Haha well, I’ll take it!
I uploaded the photos on ChatGPT before the test and it estimated between 17-20% so those are all right in the ballpark.
This pic showed that your calves were relatively large for your thighs. When you lay down your calves flatten some and look even wider (as you said) but your thighs weren’t as widened much at all.
My unsolicited suggestion is to focus on adding some more muscle on your glutes and all of your thigh muscles. IMO, that would improve your upper body/lower body symmetry.
I agree with this assessment and love the suggestions. If I ever competed again, I’d definitely look to you for coaching.
There’s a weird thing that happens with my quads. I don’t want to overshare if you’re not up for story time though. So let me know if you’re in the mood for a lengthy fun fact.
Did they give you your visceral fat?
