Call or write your congressmen today to tell to tell Nasty Pelosi to shove that 2000 page piece of socialist, tax payer funded abortions, health care killing piece of shit squarely up her ass so far, that paper sheds are coming out of her ears.
And if you live in her district, tell her to fuck herself with a cactus for me…
Thank you fellow, freedom loving Americans.
They are delaying the vote. They don’t even have enough in Congress, let alone the Senate.
This bill needs to die already.
It might pass the house. It depends on what time the latest report you have is from.

Even if it just barely passes the house, the Senate won’t pass it. And if the go into the nuclear option we are going to see the few remaining blue dogs that are going to vote yes in the house quickly switch there votes to no.
And by the time this all takes place most will be in re-election mode and now that the country has said they don’t want it, this bill will die.
It also depends which bill is being spoken of, the House bill and Senate bill are different. The best thing (other than it dying altogeher) is delaying this into 2010, where upcoming elections will have more of an impact.
As of a few minutes ago the Dems are swearing up and down they have the votes in the house.
I called my congresswoman’s office and demanded that taxpayer funded abortion be included in any health care bill that passes, including no-questions-asked, no parent notification abortions for anyone 12 years or older. I think it should be nine, but that will have to wait.
Just to piss you off.

Spot on, brother! We should be cutting spending, not adding to it.

Clearly you did not hear Joe Biden’s magnificent words of wisdom. He already told us we need lots more debt to get outta debt. =O Geez, some people just refuse to trust their leaders.

However, the fact that the vote has not yet reached the floor likely means the arm twisting is still underway.
They are at this moment voting on the Stupak amendment.
The Stupak amendment passes as if that means much.
It managed to make it through the house, but I don’t see it passing the senate.

Better hope not. Once we have it, it’s not going anywhere. And a dozen, maybe two dozen, years from now UHC will be up for a vote.
220-215 was the final vote, If congress is this split on it, there is absolutely no way this passes the senate.

Or this passes and me and a few other like minded people decide to use the cash they have been saving up and purchasing a shot gun.
I figure if our founding fathers can revolt over a 3% tax and search warrants written up on the spot why can’t we.

It makes for a good distraction, arguing politics on a forum. So, I do it to break up studying and work into little mini-breaks. However, I’ve come to a realization that arguing conservative, constitutional, or libertarian principles is just for my entertainment. For your sanity, you should approach it the same way. Because, man, that America isn’t coming back. There will be no revolution. Nor, some mass movement back to self governance; individual liberty and responsibility. This country is going in one direction only. And it isn’t ours.
I see that you’re in the thread about SS and Medicare, and how those two alone will bankrupt this country. I know I’ve brought up David Walker in the past, him saying the same. You know what’s going to happen when the government can’t pay it’s obligations? I’m betting it won’t be a return to our founding principles. If I live long enough to see it, I wouldn’t be surprised if the masses are convinced that their woes are the result of a lack of central planning. If there ever is another revolution, I don’t think we’re going to like it.
I will start collecting troops here.

That’s disgusting.

I agree, but I think this proves that people are willing to take things a step further besides just protesting.
Edit*
Or we are going to see all these people protesting and those who are fed up simply leave. Of course all the people that would be leaving are college graduates and business owners so America would sink pretty fast. Then people will come back and rebuild it.
