Connor Mcgregor UFC 223 Incident. Jail Time? Is His Career Over?

What did Khabib do to Lobov before Conor did all this? Can’t seem to find anything about this story other than McGregor going berserk on the bus windows lol

Lobov made some comments about Khabib being a coward because he has pulled out of fights while Conor never has pulled out. Khabib confronted him and gave him a slap on the back of the neck. It resembled when a wrestler ties up so it wasn’t a real hard slap. It’s pretty immature playground behavior all around.

I don’t think he’ll end up with a felony (not sure if there have been any new developments) somehow I think charges will probably be dropped. Media hype? That’s the point, Dana will, “come around” after Conor apologizes, or does some type of restitution and really repents (ya know, good ol’ Irish Catholic) and then the commission will decide to use some leniency (maybe a short suspension?) before letting him make everyone a whole boat load of money by coming back to fight Mayweather in the ring…Despade’s hot take, you heard it all here first, folks! haha

I just read today that Dana White is waiting for the results of legal consequences before he decides what to do with Conor next.

It is just simple: Boot him out regardless of the outcome. Letting this be a hype wagon when one person got their cornea scratched, besides how ridiculous it is anyway, is Way too far.

I am just pissed with this. It is business as usual. Yes, Mcgregor is down a few buck, but he is not likely in hawk all the way to the welfare office.

Children are going see these people as role models, and what the Hell is that going to be if going off on a violent bender because someone across the ocean said something to your friend is normalized?

I mean, I see what you’re saying man, but kids have bigger problems than that if someone like Mcgregor is their role model. Mike Tyson is a rapist, Mayweather’s a wife beater, Nick Diaz has an assault+battery charge, Greg Hardy got a UFC deal after almost beating his girlfriend to death, etc. Lot worse out there than McGregor, and throwing something at a bus isn’t as bad as having your face beat in.

Not to sound like a jerk but we are talking about a sport in which people voluntarily agree to suffer brain damage, for relatively little pay. Yes, Conor got lucky that he could get a fight with Mayweather and make more money in one fight than he would have over a UFC career. Still, that was no guarantee when he started. What I’m getting at is, mma isn’t going to attract a lot of well adjusted people.

Think your taking it a bit too seriously bro. Or maybe this is just a guise for your prejudice against the Champ Champ cause of his fooking Irish background.

Who the fook cares. We all know what happened was an attempt to built hype around his fight with the Eagle. It just went a bit far.

You don’t think the people in the WWE should go to jail for the stunts they pull do you. That was some WWE shenanigans to sell PPV and it worked. That fight is going to be huge and I can’t wait for it. Can Khabib not get dropped by Connor. Connor is way way more skilled then Khabib but Khabib is tough as nails and has an iron will that clearly compensates for every discrepancy in skill he has faced so far.

But Khabib looked like shit in his last fight against Al Laquinta. Not the fight his camp was prepping for but I have no doubt Connor would have dropped Al in 2 minutes flat. Damn I am excited.

I don’t think Conor is more skilled than Khabib. And Khabib is the champ.

Nothing to do with his being Irish. How does one stage smashing glass into someone else’s eye?

Oh come the fuck on dude he didn’t smash glass into someone’s eye, he threw an object at a bus and it ended up shattering some glass, resulting in an injury that was about 1/100th of the damage you’d get in a fight. You’re making it sound like he beat some guy in the head with a mason jar, and you’re treating a guy who makes his living by beating people half to death with his hands like he’s a “role model”. It was a PR stunt, like @oglebee said, and it was an effective one.

Wow, thread title didn’t age well.

Also, Khabib wins by being a slighted Dagestani.

It was a criminal act given he was arrested and I believe he pled guilty. In order for it to have been a publicity stunt, and no one involved has said it was from the UFC to Conor, it would mean Khabib confronting Conor’s teammate was a stunt as well since that is what triggered it.

this post is fucking hilarious.

Khabib slapped Artem Lobov.

Yes, I saw the video. Conspiracy Keanu showed up looking aghast because maybe BOTH fighters are pulling this stunt, which despite all Dana’s mouthing and the media’s suggestions of trouble for Conor, turned out to have no consequences, furthered Conor’s “bad boy” image, and set the stage for another super fight and a big pay day (or as big as you can get in the UFC) for both fighters! Conspiracy Keanu cannot believe it. But I can.

Nope. Not possible.

Conor’s WWE antics were in all likelihood preapproved by Dana, but there’s no way Khabib’s on board. Chechens and Dagestanis don’t do fake threats.

Also, Putin-Conor lover fest has the Eagle seething with rage and he’s handling it horribly PR wise.

Nothing fake about a threat that ends with him beating Conor to a pulp, and nothing concrete about your assertion that a person’s geographical location correlates with the validity of their threat, but I have nothing in the way of proof to back up my claims, so - maybe.
