Congrats to T-Cell Alpha

Damn you’re a troublemaker, Colin. Duke, you should love this thread. Just like a western, you got the bad man with the sheriff and posse after him.

Jesus this thread has gone to shit.

Back on topic - the T-Cell has got some threads worth reading again, so good work guys.

It’s simple - read what you like, don’t read what you don’t.

This surprises you? Has this guy ever posted in a thread with the goal of NOT just trying to start shit?

I am laughing at those of you who keep talking to him like he isn’t a troll. It goes to show that you can say and do whatever you want as long as you share someone else’s extreme political stance. Sad really.

Now ya had to go n do that. What you call extreme political views are nothing more than the very founding principles that made this country in less than 2 centuries the most prosperous, progressive and powerful nation by far in the history of the world.
These “extreme” views were the mainstream middle even at the beginning of my lifetime.

Where we fell far short was in not allowing access to the benefits of those principles to all men from the beginning. Now we are locked in this struggle to rectify that situation. I want it solved.

I want all productive legal citizens of this nation, regardless of race and ethnicity to be viewed as individual Americans… period. That cannot and will not ever be accomplished through legislative force and is in fact being hindered by that very thing as I type this.

If you don’t see it that way I can’t help that. This guy’s core views are not the problem. The idiotic way he trolls on them is. As far as I’m aware you and I, while having locked horns on occasion are not enemies.

At least I know I hold you in high regard and bare no ill will whatsover. Near as I can tell, that has been largely, if not completely reciprocated by you. Why is that if he and I hold the same views?

It’s because I regard the accomplishment of the above mentioned cause is more important than my own infantile entertainment. I want people like you to know that people like me are not the nazi-esque hateful bigots we are portrayed to be. Headhunter doesn’t seem to care if anybody gets that message as long as he has fun.

EDIT: BTW, you’re referring to me, so just address me. I can take it, but I don’t know what you mean by
"It goes to show that you can say and do whatever you want as long as you share someone else’s extreme political stance.

Sad really."
. Did you not notice that I am taking his asswipery to task despite the fact that he and I do share many views. You and I agree on practically NOTHING not related to training. I’ve read a lot of stuff that I never commented on. Yet I treat you with more respect than I do him. How does your statement follow from that?

I’m impressed; very well-written.

You seem to think that somehow conservatism will suffer because of what I write. C’mon, man, libs are too brain dysfunctional. You’re giving them too much credit for logic and reason.

Like Ann Coulter says: “If liberals had any brains, they be Republicans.” The point is: they have no brains. The fact that they would even be influenced by what I write here disqualifies them from any sort of intellectual endeavour.

And I still think some of you guys should fess up and admit that you laughed out loud at the Prof’s ‘Poetry Hour’. And the delicious irony of the sheriff and the lion…hilarious!!

More lies, Prof? LOL!!

There’s no doubt that the cell is infinitely better since the restart.

Yup, just like it should’ve been from the start.

They should keep the members down now.

He is no ordinary troll.

I would agree. I was having computer problems when the t-cell first started. When I was able to finally check it out, all the girls seemed to have tribunals. It just seemed like everyone was argueing. Much better now. There are some threads worth reading.

What am I gonna do with you? Every cause suffers if it’s proponents don’t even attempt to live up to it’s principles. If you are really so arrogant as to actually believe that people who don’t share your views are by definition less intelligent and beneath you then I’ve given YOU too much credit.

Lesson number one in ANY conflict, whether it be intellectual, philosophical, athletic or military. Never EVER underestimate your adversary. Wars have been lost and history changed more than once as a result of that most grievous of errors.

If the leftist, secular, socialist liberals were as stupid as you say they wouldn’t be winning the battle for the soul of this nation. Our enemies the world over are chuckling under their breath
“we’re not gonna have to have to fire a shot. Those dumbasses are doin it to themselves”
. It’s brilliant. I stand in gape jawed awe.

Ho Chi Minh figured it out first and others have been very very wise in chipping away at the foundation from the inside since the 60’s.

Your vitreolic button pushing reinforces the false views people have about conservatives that they are being beaten over the head with every day.

See now, this is a nice discussion and you make good points.

My issue is with remaining silent in the face of something with which I disagree. If making fun of absurdities and irrationalities is treason, make the most of it. (Quick! Who’d I steal that from? )

You’re missing the point that buttons are there TO be pushed. Someone supports that criminal Obama? Push their buttons. McCain is our only hope? Push. In fact, I’d contend that people have ‘buttons’ because they know they are wrong and are trying to get away with something. It is our, mine and yours, patriotic duty to push those buttons.

We don’t have to be smart to win. We just have to be smarter than you fellas.

Very good LOL, but I certainly don’t count GWB as one of mine.

I doubt very many people count him as one of ‘theirs’ right about now…just thought I’d add what I found to be a funny picture to what I find to be a funny thread.

Back to the “Alpha-Cell”:

I think that everybody has to not forget that this is a “test” Cell, so a lot is riding on it.

There have been some things learned, I’m sure; (Tribunals were a bust, as well as the concept of a sort of “open enrollment”. The problem was that the trolls far outnumbered productive members who wanted The Cell to succeed).

There are STILL some things to learn; and I doubt that its all a “done deal”.

Its success or failure at this point really depends on the current members and how they carry out their business.

So far so good…but pride and arrogance can rear its head in unexpected ways.

When that happens?

Experiment over.

OK, I’ll bite. Seeing that the lion’s share of the responsibility for the new iteration of the T-Cell Alpha, at least as far as it’s population is concerned, lies with us four, could I kindly prevail upon you to shed a bit more light on this somewhat cryptic post?

Not meant to be cryptic, Tirib…

Sorry about that.

The success so far is TOTALLY a tribute to you guys; no question.

“Before” and “After” is truly night and day. I think that “The Cell” is much closer to its original intent.

What I was referring to was what killed the Original “Dogg Pound”; and that was forgetting that

 1. these Forums are a privilege and not a “right” (although a major part of the “Biotest” business model) and

 2. if it becomes merely a platform of criticism of authors (which it HASN’T) and “anti-Biotest” (which, ironically, the original “Pound” did); the experiment is over.

People began to think that their shit didn’t stink and that the Site would not and could not survive without them.

It did.

This Cell (thank goodness!) has a MUCH different tone to it, and at this point is not even close to heading in that direction.

Let’s hope it stays that way.

I didn’t take it as a criticism and am sure that justified ones are going to be inevitable on occasion. I wasn’t here for the original Dogg Pound and didn’t make the connection. Responsibility isn’t necessarily the same as credit either in cases like this.

I credit the improved state of the cell to the members at large and am also confident that it will improve even further
