Throw a little more weight into it and it does resemble a soccer kick. But stock standard, you are still throwing a fairly text book kick landing with the shins. Having said that, Kru Nai kinda uses his foot but he is also a fucken champion. So… baby steps Crura.

Also, Kru Phet makes it pretty clear a few times that you are aiming for soft thigh meat. The kick is designed to undermine your opponents primary strike (not instantly amputate his leg) and you should be literally chopping his legs out progressively with multiple kicks. So, the idea is that your shin is a better weapon for this and while the foot is still a weapon, it’s not the best weapon.
