It has always been my opinion that Communism is where the Government controls the Market .
But I contend , what is the difference where the market controls the Government?
I am not trolling and will not answer a suspected troll

I think it’s a good question on grounds of freedom and autonomy rather than a technical question about the mechanics of the market.
It’s a more an ideological question, but I don’t mean to put words into Pitt’s mouth. I’ve observed this, and go about voting with my money rather than my vote. The more money you have the more influence you have which seems to point to the concept that everything has been corporatized in the sense that we need to act like corporations as spenders in order to have collective bargaining power in politics. But, those are just my ranting solutions to the way I think things really work. Which I admit, I may have a diluted view of the way things work. But I’m certain it’s more accurate than the average voter.

Well, in situation 1 a small group of ruling elite make all the rules and murder anyone who doesn’t do as they say.
In the second, the citizens, whom make up the market, dictate what the rulers can do, there by ensuring that the rulers follow the rules too.

I would say for the most part (at present) no one is murdered (at least literally , but there still is a small group of ruling elite that don’t follow the rules
Communism is more about control of the people. Look at China’s economy and market system.
“Dear Radio Moscow,
What is the difference between Communism and a Free Market?
Signed,
A listener”
“Dear Listener,
Under a free Market it is dog-eat-dog.
But under Communism, it is just the opposite…”

I have always heard of the Republic of China as I have always head that America is a Republic
Under the Communist system the government pretends to pay wages so long as the workers pretend they are working.

do you mean pretend to have gainful employment while all the while it is the American tax payer really paying their way ?
Do we really have a “free market” here?

I hope nobody would attempt to argue that we do.

In my opinion we have a market of Super Big Business that controls the Government and the Government controls any competition to the Super Big business
they do it Via the tax code , super big business pays very little tax , ma and pa pay big
Will never be free as long as lobbyists exist.

Prove this.
You can’t, but please try to.

Says the guy who’s answer to every problem is “more government”.

Not a single return linked in that article, and no mention of “ma and pa”. (Not to mention the second bullet point is all one really needs to know, and the first one is a discussion about fraud, not tax reduction, but whatever.)
Nice try, but this doesn’t prove your assertion.
