A fellow forum frequenter (yeah, I did that on purpose) reminded me of Murray’s new book, “Coming Apart.” Here’s an article in the WSJ about the book, followed by one in the NYT inspired by it. Social norms can and will impact the realization of a very small nanny-state coupled to significantly reduced revenue demands (to fund the nanny-state). On the other side, progressive liberalism, social norms dramatically impact the ability to produce enough tax producers relative to tax consumers. Think about it.
Of course. At some point the producers cannot or will not produce enough to finance the non producers who will grow in direct proportion to the degree to which the family is destroyed by hedonistic self worshiping social libertarianism. I know you can’t see this, but I’m going to continue to respond to what will certainly be ongoing very sound posts from you. I wouldn’t put you on ignore for literally a million dollars.
