Speaking of Bishop.
Age of Apocalypse was a great story arc. I thought they way they did Jean and Wolverine as well as finally making Iceman the badass he had the potential to be.
I really enjoyed that as a kid.
Yea 2000AD definitely worth checking out…
kellyb,
Your nearest Borders or Barnes & Noble or other large bookstore will probably have a section of graphic novels. Browse and see what grabs your interest.

World War Hulk was very interesting, although I think the aftermath has been anti-climactic. I would’ve expected more repercussions, but everyone wanted to get some other storylines wrapped up before they had to get caught up in Secret Invasion, I guess.
Meanwhile, they just let that whole Hulk vs Wolverine series die before it even started well. How could they just drop that one?
Yeah, I still wonder what the hell happened with that? People are still waiting for the rest of that fight.
It ended with Wolverine getting torn in half and having his legs thrown four miles away. Wolverine was in the process of trying to smell out where his legs landed while pulling himself along the countryside looking for them on his hands.
Now that you remind me… I’m putting in a call to see what happened with that.
“Announced at the San Diego Comic Con, the final issues of this series are due sometime in 2008. As of March 2008, no additional issues have been solicited for this series. With artist Yu committing to the eight-issue miniseries Secret Invasion, it’s doubtful Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine any time before that.”
Any one read Mark Millar’s Kick-Ass? I think it does a decent job living up to its name.
And fav. comic of all time was the Venom lethal protector series >:D
So, I went to marvel.com and started reading the Annihilation issues online. pretty cool stuff.

The Watchmen is one of my favorites…

Loved the Sandman…
One of my favorites of all time…

The JSA

more jsa
It’s been great the last 8 or so years with the JSA the writers are starting to care about the characters again, such a rich history DC has with their comics.

An excellent series - I’m surprised this hadn’t come up sooner. Moor and Gibbons - a great team.
Re: JSA
Geoff Johns cares a great deal about history and legacy, and his JSA is stellar.
Even something that seems radically new, like the upcoming Green Lantern “Blackest Night” storyline, is actually being set up from an old (I believe Grant Morrison) story from many years ago.
Too bad he’s about to leave “Booster Gold.”
