Austria was a nice quiet place before that (having had their empire stripped from them in 1918 after the death of millions, in a war they started). I bet the reason you welcomed Herr Hitler’s forces of darkness was because he “made the streets safe at night”.
Here’s what I foresee, based on recent Austrian history… Germany will begin blaming all its problems on the “listless turks”, and swing violently from hipster greenpeace types to monsters without questioning a thing. They’ll elect some strongman (Does Jorg Haider have any German cousins I wonder?) to come up with a “final solution” for the Muslim Question. Then they’ll annex Austria as an afterthought, and you assholes will break out the champagne at the idea of someone to come in and clean out your Muslim mess by slipping them into ovens.
You’ll gladly march off to fight in the wars to cleanse the world of the muslims, and then when you get your asses absolutely whomped, you’ll spend the next fifty years telling yourselves that you were coerced. That you were victims.
Meanwhile you’ll be investing in new kilns and tickertape.
