Colucci Still Lifts

I mean, I could go start a thread with my suggested Beginner’s routine if that helps. If I’ve been following y’all correctly.

Me the day after every brush fire I set in the forests of T-nation:

Whoops…meant to post that in the flame free confession thread…but I suppose it applies after your last comment here too? Oh well.

You have, oh you really have :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

If it’s the fire I saw, it was a just one. Not mean, just honest.

But maybe you’ve been flaming away in directions I haven’t seen. Still, I’ve never seen you set a fire that I didn’t think was valid.

For what it’s worth.

I bet you say this to all your clients.

No! I just finished a session wherein I LITERALLY told someone that they need to figure out what the fuck is going on that they keep doing this (move way too quickly into bad relationships).

Telling the truth is an (at times uncomfortable) kindness.

We’ll end the hijack of the forum directors training log with this:

Appreciate your comment, was only joking about mine, I don’t think I’ve had any flames that you haven’t seen, but despite me disagreeing with virtually all of what he says, my initial call out and ripping apart of brickhead was unwarranted and over the top (in the molyneux thread), especially given his (recent) temperament and non-combative nature. I have since reconciled with him and deleted it, but I am and have always been a bit of a confrontational person with stuff I feel strongly about, and I have regretted stuff I’ve said plenty. That’s one of them, and it wasn’t cool, IMO. But last nights fire I have no regrets about, whatsoever. Needed it off my chest and fortunately @markko smoothed it out a bit because he likely understands that nothing good was going to come of continuing down that path. I’m just disengaging at this point. I hold your opinion in very high regard, though, so thank you.

Not to continue the derailment, but the call out you regret was, IMO, powerful and I believe influential. I think you woke him up a bit, and I know you startled me into greater awareness of the support he was giving to sites that ARE radicalizing. He’s more careful now, and I’m less lasses-faire. I agree completely that he’s a good guy and has decent intentions, but think his good intentions are better served now that he’s being more careful with his influence (whatever that is) by disclaiming as appropriate. So good job.

And thank you. I also hold your opinion in high regard and am very familiar with the second-guessing that comes with vigorous expression of strong opinions, as it’s something I occasionally do, too. One of my kids once said, and now it’s a family saying, “the outrage came upon me, and there was nothing I could do.”

Monday workout:

A) 1-arm dumbbell press 4x8-12

B1) Reverse lunge 4x10-12
B2) 1-arm elbow out DB row 4x8-10

C) Burpee pull-up 1x20 (playing around just to see if I can, probably falls into the “Don’t do this, dummy” category, but shoulder felt okay during and after. Neutral-ish grip with push-up handles, neutral-grip chins)

nice, way to go. i know rippetoe and maybe some other big shots scoffs at anything that isn’t strength training but i think it’s an awesome feat of athleticism.

I was tentative with the push-ups on the shoulder, so I wasn’t pushing the pace for a conditioning aspect (eventually though). Just getting a feel for it. And for sure, even basically doing single reps with mini-breaks, easy to see/feel how they’re total body ballbusters.

So, here’s what’s been up. On Saturday, we lost our 20-24 year old girl, Lola. In people years, that’s between 96 and 112. So, not entirely unexpected but still, kinda unexpected.
Lola porch

She was blind in both eyes and never got along with our other animals, so she basically lived in our sunroom for the last 8 years (also loved the porch whenever we could get out there). Sunday morning, the day after we buried her, the giant tree right outside the sunroom uprooted in truly biblical fashion (Matthew 27:51) and leaned gingerly upon the roof.

Ended up getting a tree service to finally remove it yesterday, after having to convince them that, no, it couldn’t actually wait until next Monday because there IS A FUCKING TREE ON MY FUCKING HOUSE. They came Wednesday afternoon and cleared it up in a few hours. Chewed up part of my front lawn getting their wood-loading tractor-thing in place which sucks, but, all things considered, not a major issue.

Big sighs all around. Back on track now.

11:00 - Spike Shooter

1:00 - Finibar

7:00 - Chipotle burrito (carnitas, pinto beans, fajita veg, mild salsa, hot salsa, sour cream, lettuce); handful of chips, bit of queso; one beer

Monday and Tuesday “workout”:

1.5-2 hours per day yardwork. Taking the kids’ old swingset down (so it didn’t get demolished) and clearing a path for the tree guys.

An hour total walking around NYC (went in for a doctor’s appointment with the Mrs. Walked from train to office and back. Ain’t no walking like city walking.)

Thanks, man. That’s a funny coincidence about yours.

For the Lola’s out there. Official theme song/entrance music (or, over here, I guess exit music):

Sorry to hear about Lola, there is never a good time to lose a pet regardless of age.

I was going to reference it, but wasn’t sure it was appropriate.

Sorry for your loss man.

That is a very solid innings for a cat. Well done, Lola.

I hope my family’s black cat does as well.
