haha, I was waiting on y’all gamecock fans to come out of the woodwork, this is a never ending war, but I guess 65-37-4 doesn’t mean anything. yes y’all beat ole miss(personally i thought they were overrated but they were still #4), congrats, but we’ll wait for y’all, under the ol ballsack, to falter as the season goes on again. Just one last thing before we turn this into a never ending thread of attacking each others programs, even after winning thursday night y’all are still 530-531-44 alltime (still under .500, I actually gave y’all too much credit earlier in this thread)

Spike, we are pretty classy to other programs as long as they are not the Gamecocks (a damn chicken as a mascot…)

Ok, back on topic

Yeah I bet you couldn’t wait to put down a Gamecock fan. So much fun right? You love your school team and I love mine. Who the fuck cares about your pissing contest of who’s better? I hate rude fans like that.

agreed, I was just havin a little fun here afterall, you want rude? try y’alls fans trying to flood the stream I had of my team against TCU this past weekend, THAT is rude.

Just saw this nugget:

I’m guessing it was either a bad handoff or Johnson was using a thumbless grip. Either way, I think it’s just not USC’s season.

I don’t know how it exactly happened or the weight used but any weight falling your throat like that is not good at all, he’s lucky it aint worse with that much pressure on it.

I caught a segment on SportCenter this morning and they reported that it was 275 pounds.

Also, and I haven’t seen anyone mention it, but that hit Tebow took during the Florida-Kentucky game was nasty. Florida is fortunate that they have a bye week before playing LSU.

Similar thing happened to a friend of mine, but she was saved by the safety bars. Scary stuff.

Not good. Sounds like he will be OK, but he may not even be able to talk again. Obviously the coach spotting him wasn’t paying too much attention.

Exactly. I am actually surprised he didn’t die. Seriously. With 275 lbs. coming down on your neck, you’d be stapled to the bench. Fuck, gives me shivers just thinking about it.

How do you think that affects our chances in Strawberry Canyon, Max? We have a pretty deep backfield, obviously, but SJ had an unusually good nose for the endzone.

Just heard on the local radio that soonersports.com is reporting that Landry Jones will start against Miami.

The article actually quotes Bob Stoops so it is official.

Got some good games this weekend, should be interesting.

Frogs play SMOO for the iron skillet tonight. I’m so excited, can’t you tell. Really wish the powers that be would ditch this game, or atleast not play them every year. Not much happening mid-week, but whatever happened to Louisville?

I would really like to see Boise State lose today, other than it helping me out, these boys with the blue turf need a reality check. I would also love for Georgia to come up big over LSU.

Lets go Irish! A win against Washington gets them to 4-1 and into a bye week to rest up a few key players that have been dealing with some injuries. Then it’s a showdown with USC - exactly the kind of legit win ND needs to get back into the top 25.

Washington is a wild card imo - they have a great QB that can do it all - pass, run, etc. The last time they faced a QB with this style was in the first week against Nevada with Colin Kapaernick, which they won easily 35-0.

But riddle me this - how did Washington beat USC and then turn around and lose to Stanford by 20? I don’t know what to expect!!!

Agreed on all points. LSU is extremely lucky to have won last week against Mississippi State. I think they are a house of cards ready to fall.

Boise is playing UC Davis, so not likely to happen. Best way to give them a reality check is to do it on the field. How about a home n home w/ Boise v. USC?

Because every year USC loses to an unranked, bad PAC 10 team. We in Southern California expect it. We just don’t know against which PAC 10 team.

I’m conflicted: I like Charlie Weis (sp?) since I’m a Pats fan. But I hate Notre Dame. They’re like the Raiders of NCAA. Help me.

UW Huskies, go purple and gold.

there playing Notre Dame today and they need to play better than last week,.

I think Charlie Weis is a great offensive coordinator - but he still needs that marquis win to put himself over the top. Great play caller (I still think passing on 2nd and 3rd down against Michigan was a good idea as the same plays had worked all game long) but not so sure he is a good head coach yet.

Oklahoma’s passing game is just cursed. The season looks promising to start with the Heisman trophy winner back along with a great tight end and a talented young wide receiver. Then Gresham goes down, but it looks to be alright, just not as great. Then Bradford goes down.

They finally get Landry doing alright, and some other receivers start stepping up, and then BAM! There goes Broyles.

IDK . . . Notre Dame has been slipping out of every single game by the skin of their teeth. This is going to catch up to them at some point.

Simple, really: USC was down its starting QB and its best defensive player, and playing a team coached by the former coordinators—both offensive and defensive—from USC. Also, USC was at Washington; Stanford played at home. Other than that, though, I have no idea.
