I could sure use them to knock over Texas.

Texas will fall. They always have trouble with Okie St. on the road.

Texas has won last 10 meetings with Oklahoma State…and '07 was the only time in recent years that the Longhorns had trouble with them on the road. In '05 they had a early jump at home, but got crushed in the end. Last year was very competitive in Austin. So I’m not taking them lightly, but saying TX always has problems with them at Stillwater has no merit.

Okay, ALWAYS may be an overstatement. But I consider the '05 situation where VY had to lead a miraculous comeback as “trouble.” Since, as you know, the game alternates locations each year, I think it is fair to say that Texas has recently had trouble going to Stillwater. Can we agree on that?

Sure. As I noted about last year’s game in Austin…I don’t take OSU lightly. They are dangerous at home and on the road.

Cal is creeping up there. You think they are for real this year?

Long as Best stays healthy they’ll compete I think. Everyone is saying that Cal is the only squad that will give USC a run for their money in the Pac-10. I’d personally like to see the Beavers make tons of noise this year. Riley is a great coach.

Georgia losing to OK-ST and having a tough game against the Cocks leads me to think they shouldn’t be ranked at all. Specially since OK-St lost to Houston on Saturday.

I put NOTHING past those Oregon teams, I swear they are the splinter that USC cannot reach. Also UCLA. Somehow these teams have ruined USC’s run at a National Title in recent years.

Couldn’t agree more with ya, y’all definitely looked a bit rusty in the 1st half but y’all got rid of the first game cobwebs in the 2nd half fairly easily (to be honest, just like I was sure y’all would). Maybe I’m just overlooking y’all but I haven’t seen anything too scary about that offense (granted I didn’t watch any y’alls game against UVA) but y’alls defense is gonna be a great test for us in 2 weeks. I am still looking forward to that matchup, but am focused on my team’s game against BC this week (it’ll be my first Clemson game that I’ve been to as an alumnus which sounds weird to say since I graduated beginning of August but I can’t wait to get back there!)[/quote]

Generally Patterson is not interested in wowing you with his offense. Run the ball, throw high percentage passes, control the clock, etc. If they get about 3 first downs and punt the ball inside the 20 I think he’s happy. Usually it’s his defense that wins the game. Ironically this year we are more loaded on O than D. The D had 6 starters graduate last year, 3 of which were drafted. I am excited about the new offensive coordinator. The old one went to Illinois and I think you can see how that’s working out.

I’m excited about playing you guys. I hope you enjoy your trip to see the game.

There is all sorts of speculation about TV and kickoff times. Apparantly there is no set deal for TV on this game. What rumors have you heard?

I haven’t noticed any Hoo fans on here but if some a lurking they might enjoy this article. A pretty good number of the Frog Faithful made the trip and everyone has been raving about the experience. Beautiful campus, nice facilities, and very friendly fans.

I’m excited as can be to be back in Clemson tomorrow (gonna suck losin an hour but it’s always nice to get it back when I come back), gonna be a memorable weekend for me that’s for sure. I’ve also heard no TV yet for the game but y’all will win and we should win this weekend and i’m sure after that it will be on TV. I don’t think ESPN has anything playing at the time so they may pick it up, I’m not sure. It would surprise me if both teams win and no tv station picks it up at all.

Well looks like the Pac-10 is getting a “little” competitive. What do ya think,MaxB?

Why couldn’t USC lay that egg last week? Fucking Trojans ALWAYS show up big for big games, and then lose to teams that were 0-12 the last season(exaggeration).

I do feel bad for them though, I mean after my team loses to a team, I’d like to see them do well to minimize the loss, now somehow people will rationalize that OSU is even worse because hey, Washington can beat them! =/

Also, did anyone catch that Florida/Tenn game? Eric Berry is a fucking MONSTER, fuck all these QBs, give the Heisman to someone on defense again. Florida looked far from invincible, especially on the offensive end, when finally faced up with some decent competition. Gonna be a fun rest of the season in a lot of these conferences.

I think Aaron Corp could suck the chrome off a bumper. I hope Tech can pull off an upset as well.

Sorry, Maxi.

No worries PM, for me it will always be about the…

I just got back from the TCU Texas State game. Everyone is filling their 12th game with a bodybag. I wonder how the rest of you feel about shelling out good $ for these glorified practices?

The good thing is that it was easy to find people willing to unload tix cheap so a buddy could take his kids. Overall we all had a good time but it was not much of a game. A few mental lapses, definitely some kinks to work on before the go to Death Valley.

It was neat to have the opposing teams band and multiple thousands of vocal fans for the other team. Some of y’all may take this for granted but no band and 50 fans for the other team it has been TCU’s reality since the Southwest Conference breakup.

I saw all of the Utah game, except for the last 8 minutes because of work. It is hard to go to a place like Autzen Stadium and beat a team that is the caliber of Oregon when you give up a punt return touchdown, your offense is dormant for a lot of the game, and defensive lapses let a RB have a good game. I just hope they keep their heads up and win out so they can win the conference.

The Zoobies let the MWC down with their shellacking at home. That was really embarrassing.

I was sad to see the score of the Oregon game. Autzen has always been a tough place to play. I saw some highlights, looks like the new QB is not up to speed yet. Brian Johnsom would be tough to replace. i heard that Asiata was hurt.

As for BYU this is more of what I expect from the. They’ve underachieved in OOC and bowl games since we joined the conference. Then they hit their stride in conference which makes us all look bad.

Asiata’s shoulder was hurt from the game before and may have been one of the reasons why the running game didn’t perform well. As far as Cain goes, I think that he will be good. He just didn’t have a good game today.

As far as BYU goes, I was hoping they would represent the conference well but was afraid that Florida St. would go in pissed and fired up. Let’s just hope that TCU and Utah win all of their games until November 14 so there can be a huge showdown.

goodbye michael floyd, broken collarbone, likely gone for the season. huge part of notre dame’s offense. barely squeeked out a win against MSU yesterday, but I will take them however I can get them. Purdue is next, so I am confident. USC in a few weeks…feeling like we might actually have a shot to get a W!!! McKnight will give the defense fits though, they are struggling pretty bad right now.

That would be putting it mildly, we have a serious QB issue, I blame Pete Carroll for not pulling that douche Aaron Corp out, he did not have it within him to do shit. The O-Line did great, they ran all over UW, and gave him plenty of time to throw.
