College football 2013

bama omg

I really hope Ohio State loses to Michigan State and Auburn wins the SEC title game next week. Auburn needs to be in the BCS championship game after the last two games they played. They are a fun team to watch and seem to have a flair for the dramatics.

On another note, what the hell was Saban doing going for that field goal when he should have just thrown the hail mary. I know in hindsight it looks dumb, but I thought it was dumb before he went up and missed it. Throw the hail mary, odds are it gets knocked down and you go to overtime. An interception return for a touchdown is less likely than the field goal returned for the touchdown considering Alabama would have had a lot of quicker guys on the field.

THAT JUST HAPPENED.

Edit: This is actually like worst case scenario for OSU. I know it seems like it should be hype city because we might got to the BCS Champ game now, but our secondary is fucking atrocious, and FSU will tear it apart. I actually feel like a game vs 'Bama would’ve been fantastic, but FSU’s style is terrifying(for our team).
Fuck that red just be happy my man just be fucking happy!

The fans at the post game show were funny I actually saw a security guy pushing some one around in the background. The georgia tech game was also a good watch.

OH - IO. baaby!! hellll yes!

On a related note, Fickle is a terrible fucking D coordinator and needs to be fired immediately. Fuck. That.

Props for Michigan deciding to go for the win …a poor throw was all that stopped the conversion.

…and has anybody been watching the rest of this day?? Holy shit I’m in football heaven. Georgia/Georgia Tech overtime, Auburn AlabamaMONSTER heart attack game, TCU playing very close, I mean, it ddoesn’t get any better!

Best football day ever.

And nebraska got blown away earlier this week too. Damn all my football dreams are coming true.

Yea Aragorn I think all that intense football last night took a couple of years from my life due to the stress! My Tide lost but what a hell of a finish that was.

Love the call by Brady to go for the win. There was nothing to lose and everything to gain by making that call.

“osu is overrated, sec blah sec sec, osu plays weak teams sec blahblah blah sec sec, the big10 sucks, sec sec sec blah blah”

At what point do people realize Braxton Miller is an absolute stud and better be invited to new york, and carlos hyde is a beast. Maybe they should have played Chattanooga or Idaho last week…

You will see that on highlight reels on Sportscenter for the rest of your lives.
I have watched the replay of that return at least 30 times and it is still exciting. The circumstances leading up to the play will make it last forever. I told my son to remember this day because college football will talking about it for the rest of his life.

No doubt! I didn’t have a dog in that fight, just rooting for a memorable game (maybe one of the most memorable football moments ever). I was kinda sorta rooting for Auburn just because they were the underdog going in, even tho I realize how absurd that is to the rivalry haha.

Did you know that McCarron’s girlfriend is an Auburn grad? She was awfully understanding after the game lol :P.

He played a hell of a game. That 99yd TD pass blew my mind.

Ditto both of you guys. and let’s be honest–it overshawdowed The Game, which was monumental in its own right. Hell, we had so many tightrope games it is a shame one of them has to overshadow the others

So let the debate begin:

Assuming FSU beats Duke and Ohio State beats Michigan State WHO faces FSU in Pasadena?

 1. OSU

 2. a once beaten SEC team (Auburn or Mizzou)
When the BCS standings come out tonight I expect that OSU will still have a decent margin, which will not be overcome with them playing a top10 opponent.

Whether that’s what people want is irrelevant at this point.

Ohio faces FSU no question. thr question is if they will win against Michigan state–a very tough school and one much more likely to stifle them than that team up north.

If the do win thry get stomped by FSUs offense. Hate to say that, but Fickle is GODAWFUL and FSU is a terrible style match up for them

That is a very good point. The entire game was tense going back and forth. Stout 4th and 1 defense, 99 yard passes from deep in their own endzone. The final play was just a sudden release of all that tension, like an orgasm, complete with shouting “Yes! Yes! Oh God Yes!”

If all the top 3-4 teams win their last game it’ll be FSU and Ohio state for the BCS and I think FSU will smash (as long as Winston isn’t in jail)

Miller is a total stud but look at what Michigan did to their D… FSU and Winston will eat them up.

Let me rephrase: regardless of BCS number crunching which team is more “deserving” of the title shot? An unbeaten OSU or a once beaten SEC team?
Which ever team puts more butts in the seats, and more channels tuned in.

Last year’s title game was such a flop, I certainly hope they consider a reasonable match-up for FSU. I think OSU.

For anyone who thinks Auburn won on the last play, consider that Auburn rushed for 296 yards against Alabama. Rushing yards are brutal on an opposing defense, takes the life out of them.
