Man, I’m so fucking amped about Winston. This kid can throw… but more importantly, he makes good decisions.

It’s going to be a good year.
WTF is this? Some Yankee rootin’ for my Noles?

Jameis Football FTW!
Christ. It only took eight years for us to find something to agree on. But really, this kind of outweighs all of the differences haha.

This kid is golden man… I think that as long as he stays healthy, FSU could be looking at some seriously bright years. Between him and that 1-2 running back combo, their offense is very, very capable.
Jameis is the new black tebow
No way. This kid can throw… and like I said, he makes great decisions. He actually knows the quarterback position… which immediately sets him apart from Tebow.
When I was watching him he actually reminded me more of a Brett Favre type. Pitt couldn’t cover his receivers so it didn’t really show through here but from what I have seen of the kid I think he is going to be the grip it/rip it type of thrower.

25 - 27 for 356 yds and four passing touchdowns and one rushing TD as a redshirt freshman against a major BCS team on their field? Freaking incredible.

Oh, he’ll fuck up somewhere on some other thread and receive a prompt thumpin’. Then it will be back to bizness as usual.

But here on this thread I will surely be his blood brother. We will do the chop together for the next several months and hopefully in the BCS Championship. We will wipe away the tears of pride that invariably form when Chief Osceola plants the lance at midfield during home games. We’ll leer incessantly at the hottest cheerleader babes in the USA. We’ll dust our respective portraits of Saint Bowden that hang over our fireplace mantles in our studies.

We will allow this bond of Noleness to set like high quality concrete, properly poured, troweled and cured.

You will be so proud, Derek. So motherfuckin’, sonofabitchin’, damn proud. So, so proud.

That’s what I’d like to know.

Sorry got busy at work,

I’m not saying he can’t throw.
Back in his college days everyone wasnt talking about how Tebow couldn’t throw.
Being mentioned in the same sentence as arguable the best college quarterback of all time isn’t a bad thing.

Haha really I have no idea. I just grew up loving that team… when Charlie Ward was playing and they won the National Championship in 1993 I was like 9 years old, so it was kinda my formative years I guess…

I mean, you had Ward, Warrick Dunn, Derrick Brooks, Derrick Alexander…those dudes were legendary.

Plus, my favorite NFL player of all time - Deion Sanders - went there. I think that’s why I initially became a fan but I’m not sure.

LSU homer here. How did my Tigers look live?

I thought TCU looked very good, especially the back end of their defense. I think TCU would have beaten the pre-Cam Cameron LSU offense of last year. Defensively, we obviously weren’t well-prepared for the read-option offense run by your 2nd QB (can’t recall his name, sorry). We’re going to have to address that, or other teams will do that to us all season long.

I thought Zach Mettenberger looked like a different QB c/w last year. It’s amazing what spending $1.5M/year on an OC/QB coach can do for a team.
Hard to prepare for speed like Boykin.

Here Coach P actually calling out the secondary. Somewhat typical of him though.

Good luck with UAB. It seemed like back in the day we shared a conference with them they were always big and fast with 1 or 2 decent athletes, but never could put it together for a whole season. They never could get bowl invites because they didn’t travel for squat. Have totally lost track of them now.

Where did the College football chatter go? TCU’s offense was AWL v Tech. Bama managed to outscore Johnny Manziel, but I took my lady out for the day and we missed most of the game.

For about a day everyone was steaming about the officiating. Now the big debate is whether to tar and feather the OC, or crucify the OL coach.

Mack Brown’s last year? After getting stomped by BYU and Ole Miss you would have to think so right?

Lane Kiffin fired from USC last night/this morning.

I’m not surprised it happened, but I am surprised it happened this early in the season.

I don’t see Mack Brown getting fired w/o taking Deloss Dodds with him. I can easily see him “retiring” after this season though. If the reports of Dodds retiring hold true, it’s probably the first step in a new coach at Texas though.

They fired him the moment the plane landed back in Los Angeles, and when I say right after the plane landed, I mean like on the tarmac.

Stanford is starting to look really good right about now. They looked like shit the first two weeks, looked unbeatable for most of the Arizona State game, and looked downright scary against Washington State. The Pac-12 looks really tough this year, but if they can make it through undefeated I can’t see how any other team could end up in the title game. Ohio State looks good as well, but they play in a pretty dog shit conference and aren’t going to end up with any big-time wins this year if they go undefeated, whereas Stanford could end up beating several top teams if they can run the table. Notre Dame sucks again and USC is awful, but wins against UCLA, Oregon, Oregon State, and Washington would look really good on their resume, better than wins against Wisconsin, Northwestern and Michigan, that’s for sure.

I could see Brown taking the AD job.

If Kiffin shows up in Austin, I may have to go hunting.

You think they can beat Oregon?

I stick by my Ohio vs Bama in Title.

The media loves Big 10 and Meyer

Bama is just Bama

Me too.

Are there still rumors about Saban talking to the University of Texas?

Just rumors and I really doubt he would do that.

As an Auburn fan, I hate Alabama. But I would love to see a Stanford vs. Bama title game just as a fan of good, traditional, smash mouth football.
