College Football 2012

Deej,

How. How does a young man have the weight of a football program hung on his shoulders when he can’t even set his feet in the pocket? They already moved his backup to WR, so now there are two very skinny baby faced freshmen waiting in the wings for Robinson to get hurt.

It’s a perilous situation. Bama is probably the most lethal competition they will face all year, and I’m sure the coaching staff is thankful that #16 survived the game without major injury, but we need to call it what it is.

Robinson is not a Heisman candidate, he’s a RichRod recruit, and the last of an era that definitely will make me happy when he goes.

Was always my impression of the kid pure RichRod athlete with just enough arm strength to label a QB. I really hope someone sits him down and talks him out of trying to get the NFL as a QB. He could really be something special as a RB/WR 3rd down/slot guy.

That was why I was saying I hope the Alum give your new HC 5 years to purge and rebuild.

It’s kinda funny that Michigan got absolutely demolished and is still top 20 lol.

Robinson will play receiver in the NFL like josh cribbs and RandelEl.

Hoke will only get 5 years it he can do a few things throughout that time: beat Ohio State a few times (which is going to be tough with Meyer there) win a couple Big 10 championships (at least 2) and put up a couple of 10 win seasons (maybe 9 wins)

^^Those things would be considered “standard procedure” or average to a program with Michigans pedigree. Those are acceptable terms and wouldn’t even be considered that great (unless they can string a few conf championships together and win a rose bowl or two)

I’m a USC fan but one of my best friends (and one of my groomsmen) is from Michigan and a huge Big Blue fan. I root for them for his sake and hope they do well but they’re very overrated this year and will probably lose to Sparty, Ohio State and Nebraska. I don’t think Notre Dame is going to be easy either. It’s only been one game but I think ND might finally put together a decent season.

^ What about Pat White and Tebow they thought they could play QB in the NFL

So did Eric Crouch… Didn’t really work out so well for those players or the teams that got them (except tebow. He’s doin work and will keep getting picked up because he brings a buzz to the team puts butts in the seats)

Yea now the trend is if you are going to be a running QB you have to be fucking HUGE, Robinson is not huge.

^^understatement of the century lol

Robinson would do some real damage in the slot, assuming he learns how to run routes. He’s very quickly and shifty, he’d be a good slot receiver or do damage in the return game. The Nard Dog returning punts? Wheeeeeeeeeeeew! That could be exciting.

Reminds me of Peanut McCluster

Bama leapfrogs USC to claim the new #1 spot.

WTF.

Braxton Miller > Denard Robinson

They’re the defending champs who smashed a top 10 ranked team (although they were vastly
Overrated at #8)

USC beat Hawaii… Enough said.

It doesn’t matter who’s number 1 or who’s number 2 in the AP. the AP is a joke and that’s why it no longer factors into the BCS standings.

None of that matters till the end of the year. If USC runs the table they’ll play for the NC so it really doesn’t matter where they’re ranked.

I watched a lot of games this last weekend, Bama and USC looked most dominant and squared away (especially since it was game 1 of the season) far and above other teams.

They are both no fuckin’ joke.

Max and Greg are you all going to any games this year? I’m going to the Cal game on the 22nd of this month.

Nothing planned yet, but who knows. I am not really looking forward to being in the stands with a bunch of drunk frat kids.

I feel you, but I have to see at least one game a year or else my whole mojo is off.

I went to Cal-UCLA last year and after the bears got beat you could hear the Cal students chanting to the UCLA crowd “that’s all right, that’s ok, you’ll be working for us someday…”

Wonder how much mileage that chant has, and how many times the Bear kids have to use it. hahaha.

I’ll probably hit up the rose bowl this year too. It’s turning into one helluva game again and it’s worth all the crowds to be there.

Not sure about seeing a game but I usually go to at least 1 every year. Don’t have a plan but will probably catch one.

When I was at USC, the bookstore used to sell a t-shirt that said…

Whats the difference between UCLA and CAL ? One sucks and the other one swallows.

Looks like more allegations are coming out against USC. Apparently some county appraiser gave Joe McKnight some cash and “improper benefits.”

WTF Arkansas???

LOL

Yeah that loss was huge. No other really big surprises this weekend, including how poorly Michigan played against air force.

UCLA beat ranked Nebraska, they are now ranked.
