USC over Stanford. Time for Barkley to shine or get off the pot

What? Barkley has played solid all year. He went pass for pass with Luck last year in the SC Stanford game… its not like Barkley has been playing bad.
Probably worded that wrong, meant that it’s time for the rest of the country to see Barkley.
ahhh I see. I agree. Barkley has been quietly doing work. I think the sanctions have really put SC on the back burner (as far as exposure for players goes) and we have a lot of good players (woods is killing it). If Barkley stays after this season (which I hope he does) watch out BCS. SC will win the Pac 12 next year and be a force.

But I’m torn about the game tomorrow. As a huge SC fan I want them to win but since I know that they cant go to a BCS game I am pulling for Stanford to hit the NC Game this year and give it to some lame ass SEC school and shut the SEC Cock Cobblers up…

I’m so torn!!! hahaha

I’ve been curious to see if Barkley will go to the draft based on where Seattle is going to pick next season.

It’s pretty interesting to see how it’ll play out. I think Pete would snatch him up in a hearbeat.

Whoever has the pick ahead of Pete will know that also.

This weeks picks:
Purdue v. Michigan: Michigan
Mich State v. Neb: Michigan State
Mizz v. A&M: A&M wins battle for SEC cellar.
UGA v. Florida: Florida, Brantley gets it done at the cocktail party. No Brantley then UGA.
Ok State v. Baylor: Ok State, Baylor VERY overrated.
OU v. Kansas St.: OU sodomizes K State
Stanford v. USC: USC, Standord is the better team but its time for their choke.
Wisconsin v. Ohio St.: Wisc destroys OSU.
I, like A&M, expect their recruiting classes to improve now that they will carry the SEC brand. Texas players will not have to leave the state to play in the SEC and will be a major draw to A&M’s program. They will not stay in the cellar long.

the only team above Seattle will be picking Luck cause Seattle is garbage.

Miami, Rams and Colts, so Seattle could be #4

Just got my ticket in hand for Cal-UCLA this Saturday. Never been to the Rose Bowl before. Anyone have any advice on parking, bars to hit afterward, etc?

I have a goal of visiting as many college football stadiums as I can before I die.

I’ve been to:

South Bend
Michigan State
Cal at Berkley
Qualcom (San Diego State)
Coliseum (USC)

Not a huge list, but lookin’ forward to tacking down more.

I have attended a UM v OSUck game in the Big House. It’s actually pretty quiet. OSU’s field is nice but nothing that special.
Memorial Field in Austin is nice. I have good memories from my childhood there.
Kyle Field at A&M is special. At times the stadium will literally sway back and forth, so much so that they warn visiting journalists. It is qlao loud as Hell. Watch a game on TV and half the time the annoucers are close to yelling to be heard.

Edit: thought of two more. The Cotton Bowl is really great. The SU Dome is like a poorly done rec room where the.homeowners ran out of money and self respect.

This is how it goes down:

Colts have the number 1 pick and take Luck

Manning gets butthurt and demands a trade.

Manning gets traded to Miami and they deal their first round pick to Colts so the colts have the 1 & 2 and get Blackmon for a deadly combo

Rams already have Bradford so they dont take a Q

Seattle gets Barkley with the number 4 pick.

BOOM! So it is written… so it shall be done!

I don’t actually think they will be in the cellar either, even in the beginning. Ole Miss is dreadful. I do think they are going to be a midlevel SEC West team for the forseable future.

They are going to be in the second tier like Arkansas.

Still lots of football left, but I agree that it’ll be pretty similar to that.

And Ole Miss is the one SEC team I’d really like to see succeed. It’s a bummer.

I think they may do a bit better but I think I may depend on how recruiting at A&M affects the other top SEC teams. They may not sit on top all the time but they should rise up.often enough.

How.do.you think the SEC divisions will realign assuming Mizz will be joining in a year?

As long as Petrino’s dick get stuck in pig…

My breakdown of the SC Stanford matchup.

Both teams are offensive beasts, Luck is the better QB. Barkley is very good, but not as good, for USC to win he must be flawless, both in his play but his leadership. I foresee trouble for USC, and Barkley will need to rally the boys in the huddle to keep them in it.

The best way to give Luck trouble is clog up the run. They can run the ball, but USC is better IMO. I don’t know if the SC front seven can stop them though.

I do like that this game is in my house, I do believe that the crowd will factor in, the temp will be no colder than 50 unless the wind kicks up.

My prediction, USC needs a flawless game to win, otherwise Stanford is the victor.

I wonder if their will be any upsets this weekend? Could OU lose? Or OSU lose to Baylor? I dont forsee that happening. I do think that Stanford will be USC.

I am just glad my Huskers play at 11am, this game makes me nervous, so I am glad to not have to wait all day.

It’s not quit on topic, but Nebraska is getting some revenge on the Badgers tonight.

University of Nebraska Omaha beat Wisconsin in Hockey 5-4 in Madison.

UNO was down 3-0 after the first 5 minutes and they fought back and won.

Maybe the Huskers will be inspired for tomorrow’s Michigan State game.

I’d say if it’s about college it’s on topic. I am going to check it not that the WS is over…

I think UGA taking out the Gator’s is an upset… That’s my prediction. Don’t put money on my long shots…

You know I love you gregron, but USC has no chance. Luck is better than Barkley, and Stanford’s defense is better than USC’s defense (although neither unit is anything stellar).

I was at the Stanford/USC game up here last year, and yes it was very close and highly entertaining, but USC lost a lot of players to transfer, and is a far different team this year.

Luck > Barkley. Stanford > USC. Stanford wins.

^^^Also, I think College GameDay is down at USC today for “our” game. Should be fun to see what it looks like down there, and how fired up people are. Can’t wait to see the drunk frat kids from The Row.
