College Football 2011

I’m telling you guys right now. Do not get over your ski’s about Shaw. Kentucky is absolutely rancid and there are probably 50 D1 QB’s who could have ahd that game against them with the kind of talent SC has.

This is true. I hope Shaw is legit, because I want to see Spurrier do well. If Florida can’t win the East, I want it to be South Carolina… but beating Kentucky doesn’t mean anything, no matter how many points you score.

It should have been called and was called. It’s a rule. For one, you can’t even do taunting in NCAA VIDEOGAMES anymore because of this rule. You can’t do it in real-life either. Do you know why it hasn’t been called yet since the rule was established? Because no one’s been a big enough knucklehead or selfish enough to warrant the penalty being thrown.

It was the correct call.

I’m not saying this as a Florida fan, because I was pretty sure we had no chance anyway.[/quote]

His “taunt” wasn’t anything over-the-top, but it’s still a taunt. It was clearly directed at the Florida players, and…the rule is the rule. I think it’s a stupid rule, but… it’s the rule. I think it’s stupid that if a college player slips and falls with the ball without being touched, he’s down… but it’s still the rule.

This, seriously. Christ people, this was one game. ONE game, as Joe said, against the SEC’s cellar. Vandy is better than Kentucky this year.

Garcia has consistently been one of the most overrated QBs in the last few years, and the fact that there was a big issue over which QB was better (oops, I mean less-worse) should be a big red flag.

If USC intends to win the East all roads go through Lattimore getting like 40 carries a game.

Its a retarded rule.

I’M ON THE SHAWWAGON.

You can hop on the back later, I’ll be driving it.

*The above statement only holds true when I’m not driving the Luck-For=Heisman Monster Truck…Which will be all the time.

Anyone find a quote of the rule? Either way, I like the idea of cutting down on the “hey I made a tackle and I am a linebacker. Everyone ceelbrate with me.” I don’t like the points off of the board. If “excessive” is in the rule to describe the players actions, then I disagree with the call. If it is merely “taunting or pre-score celebration”, then the call was correct. I still wanted to seem him score

DJ - Since you were there and we miss so much of the atmosphere watching on TV, give us some in person scenes, stories, pics? Some insight into the flow of the game and crowd feel…

Picture the wife took at the game, we met a friend of mine who works with Safety. Stadium is smaller than the UT stadium so much louder. Was very electric feeling the first half, very intense. Pretty much domination.

This was pregame, was at my Bosses brother in laws tail gate.

RV large, very large with awning X 2 had the whole jambalaya and alligator chili. Also had a band playing and margarita machine making “panty droppers” drink. Started at around 10 in the morning.

I will say been to a few college games, UT and A&M over the years.

LSU fans are the friendliest fuckers to ever be around, they welcome up Florida fans and would give them food and beer etc. Talk football good natured ribbing, just all around very cool people to hang with.

Plus they could drink some serious fucking alcohol. I paced myself and just had a small buzz for the day.

I thought that was complete horseshit. Good thing it wasn’t a game changing play.

I had a good weekend. DJ, how was yours?

Great look a couple of post above yours.
I was drinking and eating with Cajuns when UT was getting taken behind the woodshed.

Alcohol really can fix some problems.

I’m about ready to say Tyrann Mathieu is the best player in the nation. He won’t win the Heisman but he’s just about got my vote.

Heh, yeah, I would still be drunk if I were you…

Okay, enough gloating. Onwards!

When do they get there quarter back?

lol sigh not this week… looks like brantley is out this week as well… honestly i didn’t think brisset did that bad… kinda hard to tell him to take down #1 LSU but pocket poise and short term memory and has an arm that can sling it, not bad…

but yes brantley gives us the best chance vs any team other than kentucky
