How is OU out of the #1 spot in the AP? Not saying that LSU isn’t deserving, but what did OU do to get bumped?
LSU owned three ranked teams on the road in their first three games.
I’m glad we are starting to see teams get jumped, even if they win, by teams that perform better that week.
The idea you have to lose the game to lose your spot is stupid. If you struggle against a weak team while the team below you kills a good opponent they probably should jump you.

Cause LSU is in the SEC and OU is in the dying bloated whale of the Big 12/10/soon to be 8.

Agreed. It’s the end of September, and we still know hardly anything about most of the teams in college football.
Example from my perspective is Nebraska. Ranked in the top 10 but have not really been dominant or played a crisp game yet. Their only movement in the polls has been because teams above them have lost, and that is the case with most teams. We’ll find out much more about Nebraska and Wisconsin this weekend and see who really deserves to be in the Top 10. Lots of good matchups overall this weekend, and only in a few weeks can we start to accurately see who the best teams are. But the rankings will still be too heavily influenced by the preseason poll.
Really, the ONLY team in the country with an impressive resume at this point in the season is LSU. They unquestionably deserve to be #1 based on what they’ve done.

I wished that they didn’t even put out a poll until the 5th game of the season, it would be more accurate and do away with the big jumps/falls of some teams. I do like the fact that it appears that voters are looking at the opponents and performances of some teams…I’m an OU fan and have no issue with LSU being number 1…FOR NOW LOL
Derek, you do have to admit though that with OSU/OU/A&M/Baylor/TEXAS/Tech and even ISU/KSU, at least for now, the Big 12 (little 10-1) has some steam this year. Who know what the future holds, but for now the “soon to be divorced” Big 12 looks pretty competitive…

Well that is what is sad, 3-6 years ago the Big 12 was up there with the Pac 10 and SEC. There was debates about how strong each conference was. Now the teams havent changed just how it is perceived because all of the instability.

I think Bama is putting them to task as well. They destroyed Penn State in their own house. But yeah man, after Saturday night? No one can knock what LSU has going on right now. Dominant.
Ulty, I like you, but you’re going to be my mortal enemy come November 19th.
Real talk. Alabama takes the win against Florida this weekend, our biggest test will be LSU who has been looking way to good. Luckily we play them at home and will have the advantage.
This is probably what the game will look like again
Any how Im driving down with a bunch of friends to wreck havoc in Gainsville I wonder if your QB will cry again like Teebow did?
Or maybe he’ll own you, like Tebow did?
You can tell it’s been a while since Alabama was legit because their fans don’t know how to act like they’ve done this before. Wasn’t that long ago that you were squeaking by Colorado in the “Petrosun Independence Bowl” to bring your record to a whopping 7-6. Hell, you had LOSING seasons within the last ten years.
Remember the last time Florida had a 6 loss season? Me neither. I’m pretty sure I wasn’t even ALIVE the last time we finished under .500
Congratulations on not being a joke any more.
Not being a joke anymore? Youre retarded. Ok yes Florida had a 5 year span were they were good. And it was all because of Leak and Teebow. Now they are garb and against the first good team they play this year, (Bama) They will lose just like they lost to any good team they played last year.
There is a reason Florida has what 3 National Championships?!? talking about now you dont suck!? Youve got to be kidding me.
And dont even talk about fans, thats how i know your retarded.
Florida fans did the gator chomp when Tyrone Prothrow broke his leg in the endzone a few years back. Florida fans are the least classy kids in the nation theres a reason why we all hate you. and no its not jealousy Bama and LSU both have more National Championships (Bama by 9). Yes it could be due to the fact that we were owning you but still you dont cheer when some one is injured take a look at how Bama fans treated Kent State we applauded them into the stadium and treated them so well their coach decided to write back thanks to our University. While your kids are super ecstatic in talking shit to FAU and Kentucky! bahaha W.e. Its not like you play for Florida nor I for Alabama. We’ll see after this weekend who is better,
Yeah one of Penn States receivers went to a HS close to mine in south Florida. It’s always fun playing Penn State they have a solid program and are great fans.
That being said I greatly enjoy the company of Auburn and Tennessee fans football season versus Florida. And I’m even from Florida my sister went to UF for undergrad. Their fans suck and have no respect. I remember at the 2009 SEC championship they were unbearable talking o much crap but ran out of the stadium tail under legs once the game was over. Either way the team to beat on this side of the states is LSU and all roads lead tp Oklahoma.

I gotta say, I’m pretty impressed with Bama and how they’ve responded after the tornado and whatnot.
I’ve got a couple buddies out near Penn State who said the Bama fans were awesome to be around, fun respectful, and very knowledgable.
I live about 45 minutes from Tuscaloosa and attended the University so I spent a few days after tornado helping out and I have to say I’ve been really impressed with how respectful people from other schools have been and how willing to help they were.
It’s the good side of college football and gets lost in all the noise from retards making outlandish and unsustainable claims about their teams.
Most of whom never took a class at “their” school.

Ready for the state to shut down for a couple of hours?

Nervous but hopeful. I gotta believe that Pelini is going to have a good game plan in case as he often does for big games, especially as good as they have been on the road the last couple years. Gonna be a good game!

Man, I know Michigan/Nebraska will never carry the weight or tradition of your rivalry with Ohio State, but I think this matchup will have the potential to become an epic rivalry over the years. There’s already a little history between splitting the NC in 97 and the Alamo Bowl a few years ago (NU was slightly better both times!!!). Not to mention two of the top college programs of all time. Definitely something to look forward to each year.

Yessir I agree with you. Though Michigan has been and always will be where my hear lies, I’ve nothing but respect for the red N and the Black Shirts.
Good luck to you, I hope we both clunk heads undefeated on the 19th.
But damn you got your hands full o’ Badger this weekend. I don’t envy that.

I agree that Pelini will have a game plan, I just hope its the right one. The only thing that I am not sure about Wisconsin is that they really haven’t played anyone yet, but their offense has really looked fluid and in sync, while ours has not.
This game makes me really nervous, I only hope that its a close game, win or lose. I just dont want to see us losing this game by 3-4 touchdowns.
