No, you’re full of it dude, sorry. No one else in the country believes the SEC is overrated, analysts included, the whole “bowl record” is such a misnomer and strawman argument to make. Most of the time the SEC’s mid-lower tier teams are getting matched up against other “Power conferences” better teams (this excludes the Big 10, which is actually another power conference.)
Sorry Greg, but I can’t take you seriously when your conference has Washington, Washington State, Stanford (who will be totally irrelevant again in one year,) UCLA, Cal, Arizona, Arizona State.
Edit: Calmed down a little bit, I get a little ragey. Still, I just checked and the Pac-10 only had 4 teams in a bowl game last year. C’mon man!

I WANNA KNOW WHO YOUR GOD DAMN COUSIN IS[/quote]
Haha, oops. I was just going to send you a PM and saw that you sent one - my bad! PM sent (in a minute.)
I think the Boise State hating about there winning of games and other teams could do as well is misdirected. BS has been vocal about trying to schedule bigger games and the difficulty of having the big programs agree. Their winning in a weaker conference does not mean they could not win a larger conference. The logic is just not there for me. When given a national platform they have done well.
That said, if there is a move towards a four conference landscape there are plenty weak teams to go into each conference. There are more eh programs than elite (I guess we can include cough, choke OU in that group). Why not just make it 8 conferences? Oh, yeah…
I want to see UT in the Big 10. Throw OU and Mizz in there add well. Send Tech and State to the Pac 10. I would like to see more rivalries between between conferences than trying to keep them all I’m conference. I think this could make the bowl games more interesting when rivals might be playing each other.

I do understand where you’re coming from - I’m pretty neutral towards Boise St. Imo, what you’re saying is probably a lot more pertinent to their situation 2-3 years ago. At this point they’re recruiting on a national level and getting the kind of athletes that a Top-25 university would expect.
Now, I think the big test will be how they can hold up when Kellen graduates, but all signs point to Boise staying relevant for a while.

I think most of the Boise State hate isn’t that people don’t think they can win one game.
Its that they generally play one kind of tough game a year and then they play St. Mary’s School for Cripples and Orphans for the rest of the year. Then they go “Look at us we’re undefeated,”
This year there is a good chance at the end of the year that none of the teams they played will be ranked. You’ve got to take that into account.
My own personal opinion is that BSU might be a top ten team this year but we aren’t going to know until they hit a bwol game. Really I’d like for them to get a shot at the title this year if they don’t choke against the rest of their schedule.
I think they’ll get whipped by (LSU, OK, Bama, OR ORegon) but I’m okay with them getting their shot.

who’s hating on the SEC? I just laughed at the people who are bragging about a DAMN CONFERENCE! not a team or a school… a conference. thats almost as bad as those morons in the Ghost Pepper thread arguing about who lives in a more crime infested area. so gay
USC plays in the first conference championship game and Wins the Pac 1million next year. then goes on to smash a SEC school in a BCS game and all in the world is right!
also, if you dont agree with me: Talk to the hand cause the mustache aint listening
Lolz. You know, I actually always supported USC (when not playing teams of interest,) but man I just cannot support Lane Kiffin in any way, shape or form. If (when) they get rid of him, I can see myself supporting them again. Until then…
Anyone else find it a little funny that the actual power schools have no issue with A&M packing up and moving on? I can understand why Iowa State / Baylor / Kansas feels threatened by this, but lol, come on now.
Baylor et al. fear the movement of upper-middle teams for the very reason I brought up earlier, what to do with the eh programs put there. Those who find themselves in the growing power conferences are okay, those that are not risk being left for the whores and scavengers on the BCS vs playoff battlefield.
