But that raises the interesting question, who are these people in Washington telling you what to do?
I mean they call themselves Congressmen and Senators, but what authority do they have if they ignore the very document that this supposed authority is derived from?

Well, it seems to be a perfectly valid document when you need to obey and is worth a pile of beans when it limits their powers, plus people kind of have accepted that the ultimate arbiters on what is constitutional are people appointed by them and not your own eyes, so Id say its theirs.
