Who gives a shit if your ass came up? You just benched basically two hundred pounds over your bodyweight. That’s freakishly impressive. Good luck with your surgery. [/quote]
Thanks, man.

Appreciated! Had to google furious pete, and I’ll take it.
Damn nice work! Your bench has been taking off.
Good lift! Defeated that sticking point n took back off !
That X ray is crazy… Best of luck with the surgery. You said you hadnt had a hip X ray in 20 years, is this something that you were born with or old injury or something else?

I developed Legg-Calve-Perthes disease as a 10 yr old. It is where blood flow temporarily gets cut off from the femur head, causing it to deteriorate. I had surgery then, and again at 12, but was told I would have osteoarthritis by the time I was 18 and I would need a new hip eventually, but to put it off as long as possible.

Great lift man! And good luck on the surgery brother!
Best of luck on your surgery and rehab!
That 365 bench was downright badass man. Who cares if your ass came off a smidge, people want to apply powerlifting rules to people who are not powerlifters. No doubt a solid display of raw strength, great work brother.
BTW, I dig the nonchalant “Alright…” at then end. lol

I’ll be traveling over the weekend, so before I forget, let me send you well wishes as you prepare to go under the knife (if I recall you’re at something like T minus 8 days). Even after surgery, please post here and let us know how the recovery process goes. I admire the courage you show in being willing to undergo the short-term setback for the prospect of better long-term activity. Best of luck!
Thanks for the well wishes. One week from today!

Strong! Do you prefer a type of climbing over the other? Such as steep and juggy, slab, or more vertical with crimps and techniqish?

I prefer steep and juggy, but enjoy all types and do best at cruxy climbs rather than sustained power endurance. Dead vertical gives me more trouble than slabs or slight to severe overhangs due to me not being able to keep my hips close to the wall because of my hip.
