Climate Change Anxiety Thread

I couldn’t see any qualifications for him being an expert in the environment, I saw he did PR and then became a type of journalist. 2 mins scan, might have missed something.

@tails1 Decades of work in the field? Investigating, writing articles and books on the subject? Earning accolades and achievements for his work? Being used as an expert?

What qualifications do you mean? The ones given by people following a narrative? Who have a bias?

Do you believe someone can not learn independently?

I absolutely believe you can learn independently. But I have trouble believing anyone who publishes information in the scientific realm without being peer reviewed and going through a process of assessment. He talks about climate change and climate facts, that’s a scientific area.

Science qualifications, which ones are you assuming I’m meaning that are given by people following a narrative and have a bias?

The irony.

That website looks super legit and trustworthy. I only saw eleven ads for how to clear out my bowels, how to clear my skin, and how to lose weight IN WAYS DOCTORS DON’T TELL ME.

Are you going to point out the falsehoods in the article?

I don’t know enough to know if there are any. I just find that articles (or in this case, blog posts) that show up on websites that contain “the pictures of Marilyn Monroe you’re not supposed to see“ generally aren’t the most reliable things ever written.

EDIT: And, ya know, if I don’t point out falsehoods, that’s generally your MO, isn’t it? I’d estimate 95% of your posts are jokes that don’t make sense.

Ah…

My posts, since I saw how many posters bought into covid, are typically intended for a small number of posters.

I knew we had a thread for this somewhere:

To whom it may concern: do not get your climate models from politicians, or worse, NickViar, because he does not know what he’s talking about.

https://www.science.org/content/article/even-50-year-old-climate-models-correctly-predicted-global-warming

https://agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1029/2019GL085378

So, his models were wrong because our recommendations were right?

Is that what they’re saying?

Ah. A person of faith. A true believer. Does your mask provide any protection from global warming?

How many Greenland ice sheet core samples have you looked at?

Have you considered that because we’re still in an ice age, the world is going to get warmer no matter what?

Precisely what percent impact do humans have on global warming and what do you suggest we do to remove 100% of our impact? Furthermore, how much money will this cost?

We don’t even have global models that can predict the weather with over 80% accuracy. So what model(s) are they using to predict the impact of humans on the entire world, and how accurate are they?
(Both require whole world models, FYI)

Remove all humans.

That quite seriously is the goal that many of these climate change nazis have. They always point to people as the problem.

Klaus Schwab (head of the World Economic Forum) has all but said this.

Balderdash. All we need to do is get rid of gas motors that allow the non-rich to travel great distances quickly. How TF can you efficiently get rid of people that can move around so easily? Might also help to stop using gas, in general: average people not freezing to death isn’t helping matters.

An alternative approach:

Make them think people are the problem and convince the educated world that there are too many humans. Then the only populace in the world with the numbers/wealth/resolve/education to fight back against the elites wont have any more babies.

Let them eradicate themselves.
