Idk I think firing the guy over a small amount of V would be a waste. Usually even on probation they give you 2 or 3 times before they x yur ass. I quess it depends on the employer. Ive seen dudes get sent to rehab or counseling by employers before. But they were top sales guys.
No positive test. I guess the fact that I weigh 240, took only 5mg, gave it three days, and drank a quart of water before the test worked.
Like I said, I usually need three of these pills to even have a slight effect on me. I’m the type of guy who can drink an entire liter of rum, or a twelve pack of beer and keep it together.
I do need such medication, since I train in a ballistic, no breaks, 30 sets per hour, 6 days a week style. My rotator cuff, lumbar vertebra, IT band etc. are in inflammation-mode all the time. In Addition, I’m always tense, uptight and in an irritable mood.
I have not had health insurance for 12+ years, and have not so much as seen a doctor during that time-even though I’ve suffered a torn my bicep, popped a rib from my sternum, and have had a severe case of food poisoning from bad Chinese food. Now I have uncle Obama helpong me out, so maybe I’ll start going back to those over-glorified drug dealers again.

I think maybe the answer for you is modifying your training, perhaps, not drinking a liter of rum and popping decades-old Valium.

Re-read that portion about 10 times. If you cannot see the answer, I don’t know what to tell you.

You’re right. My father says the same thing-"You shouldn’t be training like you’re 20. you always take things to excess, just like when you were 8, and would hit the canvas punching bag in the back yard until I had no skin left on my knuckles, and the bag had a ring of red around the middle of it.

Why? He could’ve been given it at the ER. Besides, is his employer going to ask him to bring in a prescription and show him? Seriously? But seriously, are you saying that an employer would ask you to bring in a prescription to show them?
This is what I do for a living. He will have to prove it was prescribed, not to his employer but to the Medical Review Officer (doctor who certifies the drug screen results).
Usually you can just give the MRO the name of the pharmacy where it was filled or the prescribing doctor and the MRO will call and verify. If it was given at the ER, it’s the same process. Give the MRO the name of the doctor or the name of the ER and they will verify.
If it was a valid prescription, it comes back as negative. Depending on the levels in his system, it may be marked as safety sensitive. If there is no prescription, it’s a positive test. If you try to dodge the MRO’s calls, after 7 days (varies from place to place) it will be considered a non-contact positive.
Well that answers all the OP’s questions. Sounds really tyrannical to me. Especially for something as mild as Valium.
Valium is mild? lol
Relative to benzos like Rohypnol which will knock you out like a sack of spuds, yes.
Relative to benzos like Rohypnol? Well, yes… no shit.
But, it’s hardly a “mild” drug by itself.

Maybe it’s just me then. I’ve had it a few times in hospital and hardly noticed any effects.
The place where I live is an economically-depressed part of the U.S. Most of the jobs here do not offer insurance. Not going to doctors is not a sign a stupidity. My IQ is 127, and I have a college degree. If someone has a psychological condition that is mitigated by an herb, or a medication that is easily obtained by them, most people will use such a medication.
I have an aggressive streak due to my childhood. I grew-up in a racially-tense area, and I fought with people almost every day. The town I grew-up in regarded athletes very highly, so I decided to become one of the strongest, fastest, and most aggressive kids in my school, and neighborhood.
I dabbled a lot with P.E.D.s a lot from 1999-2008 in order to remain strong and powerful to perform my duties as a bodyguard, and a collection agent. Although I’ve never been in the military, or in prison, I have something similar to PTSD. In many instances I’ve had to remain in an overly-alert state, where I have to disarm a person with a knife or a gun, and I have been stabbed twice.
I realize that by posting to this forum I’d leave myself open to being chastised by pencil necks. I honestly don’t care, since everyone here would do the same thing I’m doing now, if this was your circumstance.

See, my earlier comment (that maybe instead of drinking liters of rum and taking Valium to sleep, you should change your training) wasn’t “chastising” you - well, maybe it sounded that way since you’re already in the defensive - but it was/is a serious suggestion. There are ways to stay very built and strong while taking less of a toll on your body (through clever use of partial reps, pre-exhaust techniques, shortened rest periods between sets, focusing on good contraction and squeeze rather than heavy weight). You may want to look at the EyeDentist, How Do You Train thread for an example of a guy that keeps himself shredded at age 53 with relatively modest-sounding loads by using some of the aforementioned techniques.
So you are a security guard or a bouncer? Probably not a bouncer I never heard of clubs pee testing. Dude everywhere is economically shitty unless your in detroit, cleavland, or newark I cant imagine its any worse then anywhere else. Hey im not hating I use peds and recreational drugs. Its your body do what u want. Just saying maybe this job sux & its time for something else that lets you be your own dog. Also theres a million workouts that build muscle without a bunch of craziness.

I never said I drink liters of rum to go to sleep. My reference to drinking liters of rum was to highlight the fact that I have a high tolerance for many intoxicants, including valium.
