Clean Bulking 6'1 175 help w/ Diet

I’m currently at 6’1 175 and looking to gain muscle mass. I’ve taken some steps and noticed a gain in muscle mass: I’ve started working out with a kid whose into BBing and is way stronger than me. He’s really pushed my workouts and I can see myself making gains based on these intense workouts alone. Problem is, he doesn’t do anything on the nutrition side of things. Kid has gained 45 pounds in the last 4 years, but doesn’t know anything about bulking, etc. Here’s the diet:

Divided Calories/Fats/Carbs/Protein

Meal 1: Breakfast @ 8:30 A.M.
Oatmeal x2: 280/4/54/6/
Eggwhites x3: 51/0/0/10.8
Protein Shake: 120/1/1/24

Meal 2: Snack 1 @ 10:30 A.M.
Kashi Granola Bar: 120/4/20/6

Meal 3: Lunch @ 12:30 P.M.
4 oz Boiled Chicken: 120/1/0/26
1 serving whole wheat brown rice: 150/0/33/4
1 tspn bbq sauce:15/0/0/2

Meal 4: Snack 2 @ 3:30 (Usually pre-workout)
Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich: 430/16/36/14

Meal 5: Post Workout @ 5:30
Protein Shake: 120/1/1/24
Banana: 90/0/20/1

Meal 6: Dinner @ 7:30
Turkey Sub: 320/4.5/19/19
Green Beans: 125/0/16.2/4.2

Meal 7: Pre-Bed
Casein Shake: 120/1/3/24

Totals:
2061 calories
68.5 grams of fat
180 grams of carbohydrates
165 grams of protein.

So…after calculating all that, my diet SUCKS! I need more calories, right? And more protein, less carbs? What specific foods can I eat to achieve this? I know my dinner meal looks like rubbish, but I get it for free since I’m in college, the eating thing is a lot harder. What are some other healthy things to add in to my lunch and dinner that have benefits? Obviously chips have no nutritional value, but I need suggestions on what else I can eat.

Should I cut out the carbs from the oatmeal in the morning and make a turkey-bacon omelet? Need all the tips you can give me on a clean bulking diet…looking to gain some weight and then cut down to summer slim shape before summer! Am new at this, so sorry if some things i said were wrong.

Edit: attached a pic of newbie gains a while ago. Just a pic of where my physique is currently at. Not happy with it at all, i’m the smallest guy in the gym.

find John Berardi’s massive eating article here on the site…follow that and you’ll be on your way.

You could always just multiply everything by 2

If that doesn’t work, multiply everything by 3

Dude, you’re 6’1 and 175. I’m 6’1, and have been 180, and I looked like a twig.

Egg Whites? Boiled Chicken? Green Beans?

What… The… Fuck… ?

How about you stop eating like a starving rabbit, and eat some real food? I guarantee you’ll get more girls at 230 with barely visible abs then you will at 175 and an 8 pack when the girls probably have more muscle than you.

If my post was too harsh, and you’re not interested in gaining size, maybe you’ve come to the wrong forum.

dammit

i typed out a long reply to this thread last night in the bodybuilding forum but that thread got deleted.

Nice job on creating 3 threads, OP.

What DOHCrazy said. Well, minus the 6’1" part…he has 6" on me. But seriously, I’m 200 lbs and don’t consider myself very big…you need to eat son!

In my experience, as someone who has made some decent gains in the past few months, and as someone who is still bulking, it is easiest for me to get more food in at breakfast and postworkout. Ditch the whole food breakfast and make a massive fucking shake. I throw a bunch of eggs, chocolate milk, protein powder, berries, heavy whipping cream, and oats into a blender with ice. You could easily get a thousand calories in seconds. After you train, make another massive shake. The one I’ve been tripping on is protein powder, milk, oats, oreos, chocolate syrup, creatine, and ice.
Make a huge amount of ground beef and beans on Sunday or whenever. Buy multigrain tortillas. Make burritos. Eat at least three big ones a day.
Don’t type. Eat.

My roommates say I’m on the burrito diet. Cook the beans with garlic salt and cayenne pepper. A bunch. Cook the beef with fajita seasoning, a red pepper, a green pepper, and onion. It’s heaven.
