Classic NES

Great posts in this thread. Here’s a few more good ones that might’ve slipped thru the cracks:

Lifeforce (use the same code you use in Contra)
Top Gun 2 (dogfight mode)
Jordan vs Bird 1-on-1 (dunk contest mode)
Excitebike
Kid Icarus
Spy Hunter
Rad Racer
Marble Madness
Winter Games
Skate or Die
T&C Surf Designs
Bad Dudes
NARC

don’t forget about Excitebike

Master Blaster.

BTW-I see you added the best games first. If there was no Zelda addiction there wouldn’t have been any WOW addiction. It’s the pot of video games.

Super Mario Bros. 3
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

I owned The Adventures of Link. That game is very hard. Never beat it. Some parts I was too scared to finish (I was a kid, shut up).

Please tell me about Spy Hunter: Does that game end?! I stopped playing it because, all the different levels appeared the same. It almost seemed like I was going in circles and just accumulating points. Plus, I liked driving fast without slowing down, but I HATED crashing.

I can probably beat these games if I go back to them now.

Truer words have never been spoken.

Skip all those other bull shit games. Give Master Blaster a shot.

Then I guess come back to those other bull shit games once you beat Master Blaster.

If you’ve got the NES get Marble Madness, arguablly the best graphics and sound of any Nintendo game, and it was one of the first 5 released to boot. Tyson’s punchout, Metroid, Bayou Billy, Avoid The Noid, all Castlevanias, all Ninja Gaidens, Both Zeldas, all three Marios [ for some reason 2 being my favorite] Master Blaster,Excitebike.Battetoads.There’s more but I can’t think.

Remember, the Genesis went against the SNES not the NES. The Sega Master System went against the NES.

If I ever fall into a coma, I hope I can play Choplifter in my mind… I’ll be happy.

That and Zillion.

No-one mentioned Dragon Warrior?

That was my favorite. Then came Battletoads, Contra, and Metroid. Double Dragon was pretty cool too.

Good old NES…the reason I was a chubby young lad.

Bump and Jump
Hogan’s Ally
Maniac Mansion
Duck Tales
Tetris
Rambo
A boy and his Blob

Contra is out and Double Dragon is coming for the Xbox Live Arcade.

A current goal of mine is to play all of the Final Fantasy games straight through. So far I am on FF4 on the GBA.

That reminds me. I think I still know the Contra cheat to get 30 lives.
