Things in the video are fuckin disguisting and it made me regret that I went to the circus a couple of times even though i was a little kid back then.
There is a carnival that always comes to my hometown of kitchener.
Everybody here hates the carny’s that are their. They get drunk and high on who knows what drugs, and walk around the neighborhood accusing people of not liking them because they are “Carny’s”.
What do these low life’s want? A big fucking sign that says “Welcome to Kitchener, we love drug addicts and alcoholics that don’t take showers”?
Carnivals are disgusting anyways. The last time I went to one, there was a BIG line up for hot dogs. I got close to the place and seen that there were flies landing all over the hot dog wieners and the buns they were carelessly leaving out of the package.
Ironically there was also a lot of flies on all the dung from the ponies…

Since this was clearly a propaganda video for an animal rights organization, is it possible that not all circuses treat their animals so poorly? Obviously the people shown in this video were scum, and their actions appalling and reprehensible, but consider the source. The video was designed to polarize and enrage, and it was apparently effective… but how often is the “truth” handed over on such a convenient silver platter?

Good point, don’t know for sure if all circuses treat their animals like this, but judging how they have to transport them around it really wouldn’t suprise me. It’s just pretty shitty.
Maybe it’s just me, but I think that if your weight is measured in tons and you can walk and run, your not freakin’ defenseless. You may not be at the top of the chain but you can put up a damn good fight.
