You’d have to convince them they were killing a person first.

No, I’d have to get them to admit they were killing an innocent human life. They already know what it is. Hence the attempt to make themselves feel a little better about it, by limiting it past the first trimester. They already know. I’d just remind them, asking what’s a bit of skin, compared to an entire human life being extinguished.

I’m not completely sure, but I think a lot of western countries have no protection for fetuses at any point during the pregnancy.

I know in Canada for instance the pregnancy can be terminated at any point. If I were to take an educated guess, I’d say the reason restrictions on abortion in the US exists at all is due in large part to the pro-life contingent here (Typing this from Pittsburgh). It wouldn’t surprise me if many many pro-choicers would actually prefer a policy like Canada’s.

Basically the 20 week rule is to appease you not them.

I don’t know how long they’ve been doing this, but in Canada, they won’t release the results of an ultrasound until after the abortion date has passed.

And many are like Angry Chicken up there, choicers who see the need to limit abortion. Neither type of choicer has any standing to scold anyone on this topic.

We have both the abortion thread and hijack haven.

The Ontario premier McGuinty refuses to release abortion statistics as he deems them to be too sensitive

Let’s call him on the carpet then!

SLOTH!

DO YOU BELIEVE THAT MASTURBATION IS A SIN AND THAT IT CAUSES INSANITY?

If you don’t answer me, we’ll all know you are nothing but a coward and don’t have the ability to defend your beliefs.
A coward? Do you honestly think me, a guy who has repeatedly claimed that any and all sexual gratification is only rightfully ordered within a marriage, between a man and woman, has any fear of judgement from SAMA refugees and off-topicers? Oh please, take the coward stuff somewhere else.
Well, to be perfectly honest, I skip over most of what you write unless you are particularly addressing me - I find your posts to be nothing more than religious bullshit (which I’m sure you know I’m not a fan of) so I did NOT know that you’ve repeatedly claimed that any and all sexual gratification is only rightfully ordered within a marriage. I think that position is at odds with the actions of 99% of the population. That makes you the fruitcake in the corner with the tin hat.

So I’m a “SAMA refugee” and an “off-topicer”? LMAO I’ve dipped my toe in the PWI forum for several years now. I occasionally get frustrated with the mindless drivel that you and several other religious fanatics continue to spew, so I do take a break from the vitriol being spat back and forth from time to time. In fact, it’s been pretty civil around here of late, so I’ve stuck around.

Is it your opinion that, since I posted a lot in SAMA about topics that I felt were interesting to most people who don’t have a bible shoved up their ass, I don’t have a right to post here in PWI? Is it YOUR turf? Fuck you, this is the internet. And your weak minded arguments revolve around ONE thing: religion. You’re nothing but a sheep who cant think for himself. You might as well believe in Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny while you’re at it.

As for the “coward” stuff, I was being sarcastic because raj said you wouldn’t have the balls to reply. That was the context of that - I have no idea if you are a coward IRL or not.

You DO realize that MOST of the world does NOT hold your religious view, right? So it’s a little pathetic that you try and get on your high horse and sit in judgement (which your religion clearly states is NOT cool). But it’s OK, we all know what a silly little man you are and no one takes you very seriously.
angry chicken wrote:

Wouldn’t know. Are you, or something? Seemed quick to apply the plural ‘refugees’ and ‘off-topicers’ to yourself in the singular. Doh!

Judging by your man-trum, you took me seriously. You should talk about this anger issue of yours with someone. Just a friendly suggestion.

You haven’t SEEN a man-trum yet! And while I am bored and unable to sleep and chose to respond to you because you annoy me, I assure you I DO NOT take you (or anyone else on da interwebz) seriously.

But I’ll give you fair points on pointing out that I have an anger issue. I have a lot of issues - especially around religion. Many of them stem from my second step father whipping me with an extension cord while reciting bible verses as he attempted to “cast my demons away” as he so eloquently put it. It’s something I’ve come a long way with. So I guess when I read some of your posts where you throw logical thought to the wind and revert to, “well the Bible says so”, it DOES bring up thoughts of my childhood abuse and it DOES make me angry.

So going to steal this…

Just leave this here

Quote me once. Just once, where I make my argument, about any political/world issue, from the Bible. Sometimes, when you’re mad, it’s best to remain silent. I’m suggesting as much because you won’t find any quotes of me doing as you’ve described. Not on abortion, not on homosexual marriage, etc.

My step-father, who beat the donkey-manure out of myself, my brother, and mom, wasn’t religious at all. Funny thing, eh?

Actually, I didn’t have anyone in mind. I was called a coward as if I were ashamed of my traditional Christian moral beliefs…Besides the fact of my posting history proving the lie of such a statement, who exactly am I afraid of (since I’m supposedly a coward)? The enlightened denizens of SAMA, or off-topicers? Are they going to call me a ‘square?’ A prude? Ooooh, nooo!

Sloth would you watch this short lecture and let us know what you think of it?

Well since your both biased on this subject, I was not beaten by anyone and religion makes me angry.
