It’s the mace to bring’m down. Once their on the ground and (pretty much) not movin’, the jackhammer is the best way to separate the joints.
Push begins to hear strains of No Quarter, then In My Time of Dying play somewhere in the recesses of his old brain, and his forehead begins to bead up. He wipes it nervously.

Oh, just that wine in the bible isn’t wine as we know it, but something else but wine?
That suggests a translation error, doesn’t it?
The nature of the item has changed somewhat in these last 2000+ years. It’s not an error really. For example “picture” means something now, but something rather different then.

Hope that helps Miss/Sir.
That’s Ephrem. He’s a sir and you can get used to him misunderstanding you like he just did. He was one of the first on my T-Nation prayer list and remains there to this day. He is a rabid agnostic (though not really according to Romans 1).
He is another guy who embraces uncertainty like an old friend and then plays the most eyebrow scrunching games with himself attempting to explain why his life has meaning anyway. Of course he’ll deny all this like he’s supposed to and shake his head at how emotionally deluded and self righteous I am like he always has.
He is one of my favorite pagans here though we don’t talk that much any more.

Pff, agnostic.
Nonsense man and I can prove it. =] Unless you are now saying you are certain that God does not exist? Hast thou so quickly forgotten all those old conversations? I don’t wanna steer us any further astray though as if it made any real difference.

You, sir, have excellent taste in music.
From many years past. My taste has changed a lot since those days. I now prefer Bach, Luther, Wesley, Carmichael.

Then we should dub him Sir Eph, knight of agnosticism.
I assume he also drinks from the troubled waters of evolution, and worships at her broken down temple?

Again excellent tastes. I’m a huge Bach man (ha, pun!) myself. His inventions in 2 and 3 parts are just mesmerizing.

I assume he also drinks from the troubled waters of evolution, and worships at her broken down temple?
Oh he does indeed, but with absolutely no disrespect to my ol bud Ephrem, Elder Forlife gets top spot on the knighthood tree. I had meant to comment back to you on him, but haven’t. Elder Forlife, who yes is that same Forlife, is the best “agnostic” I’ve ever heard of. He is unstoppable so far in his debates with everybody but me =]

Ah, so the nature of [some] things in the bible have changed over time.
Yes, that helps Chen, thanks!
I’m not sure why you would think translation=error. Most words and ideas can be translated very well between 2 languages. I speak 2 and only occasionally have a problem. Do you speak Dutch? If you need to do little study to figure out a certain idea, I don’t see that equating to an error. Perhaps you’ll err if you don’t study though.
