He never said that.
He was mocking Saudi Arabia because they are intolerant.

Oh, sorry, we’re not talking Bibles and Saudi Arabia, are we.
Do you really set the bar for the US that low?
I’m now (sincerely) beginning to wonder if you can read.
You are equating laws and practices in the US to laws and practices in Saudi. Therefore you are comparing the US to Saudi therefore that is where you are setting the bar for the US. To me, I would expect more of the US than of Saudi at this stage.
I am now (sincerely) beginning to wonder how you manage to operate a computer.
Comparing 2 countries to each other does not=setting the standard for them by one another. I understand what you’re getting at, but it’s too large a leap of false logic. He was alluding to the USA being more tolerant than Saudi Arabia; in this instance it IS relevant, since we’re discussing the predominant religions in the 2 countries, and how they interact with each other.
He is saying that it is OK to burn Korans in the US because Bibles are not allowed in Saudi.
Personally, if someone wants to burn a Koran, fine by me. I think it is a dumb protest but I would defend their right to do it.
Comparing practices and rights (or in Saudi’s case, lack thereof) does NOT equal justifying an action BECAUSE of the oppressive country’s practices. It is simply comparing them. Leave it to girls to inaccurately read into things, at least they have boobs for us to look at while they spew bullshit.
Bollocks, he was either making a morale equivalence between the two or his point was totally irrelevant, either way he is being stupid.
Wrong. He wasn’t pointing out an equivalence, but rather making a distinction between the two. Saying a pineapple is bigger than an apple is emphasizing a difference between them, not a similarity. Noting that Saudi (predominantly Muslims) won’t let Bibles in their nation, while America (predominantly Christians) freely allows Qur’ans in the country is the same thing. It’s emphasizing how much more tolerant and forgiving we are, even to a fault. Not comparing similarities. Your point of view is jaded beyond repair it would seem…
So what relevence does that have to a bunch of Christians wanting to burn Korans?
It’s a reminder of the distinct differences in freedoms.
On a related note, it should warn us what type of things happen as the government gains more and more control and influence over our everyday lives.

Actually Christ did show righteous indignation when he turned over the money changers tables. But you’d actually have to read the Bible to know that story. Why do that when you can make stuff up and use the book for sarcasm.
Hard to believe but I actual think you found a topic that you know less about than Ronald Reagan.
On the scale of goodness there is two points, God and us. There is a path of righteousness and there are paths of evil.
I would like to point out that your assumptions are ridiculous and I still pray for the day when the people that schism actually are acquainted with the knowledge of doctrine, the Bible, &c.
Some Jews do believe in Jesus, I live next door to a Jewish kid, and he wholly believes in Jesus. He is almost as smart as me when it comes to Jesus and His Church.
A lot of religions consider Jesus a great prophet, however, that doesn’t put them on the right path. Even a lot of Christians are not on the right path. Maybe you should go back to the library before throwing shit.
He’s not throwing shit he’s simply questioning the obvious ignorance that’s going on in this thread. Some of you make me shake my head by evening exclusively associating morality and goodness with religion at all.
Maybe some of you should take a trips to Indonesia and Malaysia, countries that have huge Muslim populations yet somehow (shutters) leave peacefully.
Then again I don’t expect most that hang out in PWI to even consider thinking from an opposite perspective – it might challenge their beliefs… OH NO!

Or a “Libertarian.”
Now that is not true.
I know for a fact that jackbooted thugs can keep a society running, I just prefer to make my own decisions.
From this article, I seriously lol’d at this:
““We know this is not just the decision of a church. It is the decision of the president and the entire United States,” said Abdul Shakoor, an 18-year-old high school student who said he joined the protest after hearing neighborhood gossip about the Koran burning.”
Gotta love it. Not even sure what to say to that…

Not all religion. Natural Law is what Catholicism holds as true morality. Now, that does not mean that people who claim to follow Catholicism will be moral, Catholicism actually says they won’t be. A Muslim can be moral, so can an atheist. I am not sure when I said that it is exclusive, but we do hold the truth on morals, not that we are the only one’s who are moral, because that would be ridiculous.

I do not know where you think I do not challenge my beliefs, the Catholic Church even has a professional position called Devil’s Advocate. Catholicism calls for faith and reason…learn what you speak of.

Pastor Jones is a scumbag who is endangering out troops. He should be arrested and charged with manslaughter and reckless endangerment for all the fallout his douchiness and asshole actions will cause.
