Choosing the Right Protein

Hi guys,

I’m a swimmer and I’m in need to put some weight that I lost this winter cause I was sick pretty bad.

My goal is to increase weight from 74KG to a bit more than 80kg ATM. I’m tall 190cm.

I’m looking at looking at whey proteins to increase my weigh, also more strict diet.
What i can find in my country are mostly BioTech products, don’t know what else i could find market but i still have 2 more shops to visit.

I was looking at No.1 Protein and 100% ISO WHEY, i don’t know how good are they.

Protein is just food. Get it out of your mind that a powder will make you gain weight. If you eat more than you burn, you’ll gain weight and protein powder can certainly help with that, but so does eating more.

If you’re question is about quality of protein then look for a trusted brand.

I eat pretty well I think but I burn a lot too and I’m having a hard time getting my weight up, i don’t have any fats from where i can get more energy, just thought getting some protein just to help me temporarily and boost my protein intake and then quit.

Yes the question is also about protein quality and if you have anything to propose if i can find it in my country ill give them a shot.

I have seen lots of swimmers especially at competitions overdosing them self’s with Ampule(after every event taking one) and its not a surprise to see them full of spots in back and chest also good results, also anabolic and more than 10g of per day. I’m not a guy who like those doing those things i can wait more to swim faster. sorry for getting out of topic a little.

Adding fat to your diet is very easy, butter, nuts, oils.

yea, i love slathering coconut oil on salmon and steak, scooped into my coffee also, a handful of walnuts etc., and raw whole milk for the trifecta of convenient calorie slams.

lol lots of good tasting combination’s.

I just need to be very lean cause i swim 50m and 100m so i’m a sprinter and i don’t need any fats , if i ware swimming 1500m yes i would need that.

All athletes can benefit from healthy fat intake.

Looks like we have another case of “eating fats makes you fat.” They are suggesting adding fats to your diet so you can accomplish your goal…gaining weight. If you are as lean as you are implying, then don’t worry about putting on fat, just up your calories a bit each week and re-evaluate according to the amount of weight you’ve gained.

Uh guys i think when he says “fats” he means body fat. I have this same language miscomm at work with a client.

To the OP Which country are you from?

eat more meat and lots of pasta/oatmeal/potatoes/rice after training to put on extra muscle and fill out.

Thanks for support.

Ill take a picture this week and will do some body measurements and i will post them after few weeks the result.

yes when i sad “fats” i mean body fats.

Can you suggest me any protein shake, or a trusted brand just for a start till i gain a few KG if its a good way for a start.

How about Biotest’s Metabolic Drive or Grow! protein?

I’ll take a look at Biotest products but they are very hard to find where i live.

maybe it’s because you order them off the internet?

No only at shop where i live. LOL

He meant that for the most part Biotest supplements are only available on this site. Though some stores carry Spike and HOT-ROX.

No, you have it all wrong. They are saying you can’t buy Biotest supplements (the supplements you can buy on this site) in any stores. They are suggesting that you consider buying some of the protein supplements from this site.

Got it?

Ok i see now. IF i do sso posst will cost me more than supplements. lol

I bought BioTech USA No.1 Protein, it was an offer almost half the price and i took 3 KG.

Lets see the results.

OP,
I think you need to try to understand what the guys are trying to say, I don’t think you are understanding any part of it. They are saying one thing and you are replying about something totally different.

eat whole foods
more beef, chicken, pork, fish. protein powders are about convenience.
