Who the hell said anything about hating China?
Buddhism is a religion of peace, it is the radical buddhists in Tibet who are destablilizing the region.
It’s necessary for China to protect it’s national interests and the people of Tibet from the freedom hating war mongers and their “Dalai Lama.”
Nice.
Everyone bitches about the Palestinians.
Everyone bitches about Iraq.
But these people can eat shit.
Hey, someone send a muslim to Tibet so we can pity the poor oppressed masses.

I think Palestinians are tasty.

Jealous? That’s why anyone young Chinese person with a brain is trying to get the hell out of China for an education.
The only people who look to history (6,000 years blah blah) for validation are those too ashamed or close-minded to see the present reality before their eyes. Where are you and what do you know of China? Come over here for awhile. I love China, that’s why I live here. But this place is fucked up to the Nth degree. Pointing that out doesn’t make me a China hater. It means I am recognizing the situation, which is the first step to being a part of the solution. If you really care about something, you will open your eyes.
Talk to some highly educated Chinese, and many, not all, will agree with most of the criticism that is directed at their country. What they do have a problem with, however, is the one sided nature of a western media that only puts China in the headlines when something bad occurs.

The point flew right over your head.
Actually many people from all over the world go to study in China. Have you ever heard of BFSU?
Also Chinese studying abroad have significantly decreased as well, China has been very successful in thwarting the brain drain.
It’s overloaded with students from the USA and Canada.
I have three friends personally who have studied in China, one is going to get his full degree from a Chinese university.

Enlighten me.
about the chinese higher education, you should do some more research. sure, some people go to chinese universities. i took some post grad classes at a chinese university myself, so I am one of them.
however, this doesnt change the fact that the university system in general over here is bankrupt, and that thousands of college students protest daily all over the country because they believe their degrees to be worthless and the quality of education to be sub par. you dont hear about this? maybe because you dont read it in the news.
Are there good universities in china, sure there are. There are some world class institutions here in beijing, and if you happen to be in the 99.99999% percentile in china you are welcomed with open arms to matriculate. As well, its easy for us foreigners to take classes at these good universities as we can pay more and we bring a token multicultural characteristic to the campus, that is, we are bait for chinese students to practice their english on.

I am just returning all the crap that was delivered to me because I think spreading a political system with the sword is hardly a good idea.

Thank you for making my point.
also, what is happening in china can not be considered a brain drain. a brain drain is when highly skilled professionals and academics emigrate en masse.
the situation is china is different. most young chinese are very nationalistic and wish to return to China after studying abroad. Only a small percentage will settle in whatever foreign country they have gone to study. This is because of bureaucratic hurdles. But it is mainly because a foreign (read “english”) educated chinese student has enormous career potential back in the mainland. They are substantially more valuable to employers than other students educated at home, who lack true english fluency and wider cultural perspectives. Not to mention their education received abroad is just straight up better. People recognize this here. They know our higher education is better, so they come take it, and then go back home. Practically every student I know, if money was not an issue, this is the course of action they would take.

pardon me for not remembering everyone’s true positions, i generally responds to posts, not posters.
I don’t know if American is straight up BETTER, but it is, straight up in ENGLISH.
Maybe that is why it is better.
I doubt, the quality of our education is any stronger than there’s. Maybe some things like science but as far as my school goes.
There are 100+ students in every class room. I hardly think that’s top notch education.

actually its the only way. political systems are dependent on a institutionalized violence, coercion of the people, to function. And people don’t just “decide” to become coerced. Name any political system in the world, failed or stable, democratic, socialist, autocratic, and I’ll tell you a bloody story.

Well, the hint wasn’t his posting history so much as the content, parallels to the justifications used by Americans etc.
No need to get pissy though, I was the one letting you in on the story.
No, American Universities are straight up better. Much much much better. The X factor you are looking for is that American students are lazier than their Chinese counterparts.
dude, i wasn’t pissy. Read my comment again, it’s only pissy if you choose to interpret it that way. Hence the problem with being facetious on the internet
