China's Humanitarian Side

The second link to the Chinese Report on “Human Rights Abuses in 2007” is hilarious. It was published by Xinhua, the national Chinese news agency which is controlled by and is the party mouthpiece.

Careful with your sweeping critiques of China. Blame the CCP, not the Chinese people, who are largely ignorant of much of what happens in their own country. They are no more personally responsible for humans rights abuses in Tibet than you are for the death of an Iraqi citizen in Falluja.

Also, I have lived in Tibet with families. They are just people. They are not some noble civilization nor are the Han evil barbarians. Western media tries to make this a small good guy vs. big bad guy thing. I’d like to see Tibet remain a part of China but governed autonomously, but if I am a riot cop and you attack me, I will beat you down, and I don’t care what politics are in play.
If Americans can be booed and screamed while travelling for liberating Iraq, then Chinese should not be surprised if they are booed and yelled at.

That being said, Chinese people are cool!

I disagree with boycotting the Olympics. The athletes had nothing to do with any of this. Don’t make them pay for what asshole governments do.

Oh no, people are burning the Chinese flag!

Is it the “Blame China first” crowd, driven by their irrational hate of everything Chinese?

Do the people of Switzerland hate Chinese freedom and culture so much?

What deep rooted psychological reasons could be causing such behavior?

Perhaps envy, due to Chinas military and economic power?

A feeling of inferiority when comparing a five thousand year old culture to their own?

Obviously they could not have any real reasons for their display of outrage?

PS: And yes, that is what outrage looks like in Switzerland.

PPS: They need to work on their flag burning skills.

See…rarely a peep about the horrific conditions under which Saudi women or non-Muslims live. Nothing about the Egyptian police beating up people protesting shortage of bread. Nothing about the Western Sahara. Nothing about the Turks cracking Kurdish heads.

Gotta love the US-Chinese relationship though. The US comes off as the brat holding his breath and stomping his feet while China doesn’t even acknowledge him.
When the Saudi’s host the Olympics we’ll address those issues.

We need one that’s just a sticky…Iraq bitch session…To keep other threads clean.

Why didn’t you mention Turkmenistan? Or Uzbegistan? Or Sudan? Or Iran?

Because obviously those are denounced plenty by Washington.
So that makes them a-ok with you…An enemy of ours is a friend of yours automatically? Nice.

You are right and it is an important distinction, the Chinese government is atrocious. I got no beef with the people they are the victims.

Geez, you’re stupid.

What in the hell kind of rationalization is that?

You should be vehemently condemning China, but instead you spend your time… Uh, what exactly WAS your reason for posting this?

Oh yeah! You decided to try something different and criticize America and its people.

How utterly novel of you!

Dickhead.

Your blind hatred of China and everything Chinese disgusts me.

Obviously you suffer from CDS (Chinese Derangement Syndrome) which makes you unable to see the humanitarian effort that is the Chinese occupation of Tibet.

Ha ha!

Thanks for making my point even clearer.

I take my earlier comment back. You’re not a dickhead. You’re a pathetic pussy.
Yup, it´s CDS.

Tragic.

Still at it, eh?

This shtick is more tired than an Austrian extermination oven worker on Adolph’s birthday. And just as smelly. But I guess such posts are the highlight of your pathetic life, so feel free to carry on.

Oh, and could you link me to all of your posts on Chinese sites?
Why do you hate freedom?

Well, all the really clever chinese/iraq stuff aside; I don’t really see a lot coming from all this.

Until the Communists cease to rule they will continue to crush all resistance. I am suprised they haven’t invaded Taiwan yet.

I would like to see an end to communist rule, but then equally so much of their power is tied in to the western desire to earn money from them that I can’t see that happening any time soon.

Internationally, Taiwan is as a non-entity. And had Bush been presiding over Beijing, you can bet that the sarin-possessing island would have been bombed and invaded long ago. Luckily, the Chinese aren’t hell-bent on world domination.

I personally consider Taiwan part of China.

In other words, you are not for the rights of ALL muslims, only the muslims who are ruled by an ally of the US.

Interesting.

That’s funny. It was part of Japan from 1592-1945. So, how’s it part of China again?

That’s why our troops are marching through Havana as we speak.

Yeah, right.

Mao’s forces were terrorists?

Saw this quote in the Times UK. How can he say that he will not be re-incarnated? Can a Buddhist consciously effect re-incarnation? Any Buddhists’ out there?

Anyone follow this other story? The Tibetians had this kid who they said was the reincarnation of the Buddha. The Chinese arrested him and brought out their own kid who they said was the reincarnation of the Buddha. This was from a few years back. Never found out what happened with this.

Funny, I thought the Communists were anti-religion, and here they were with their own Buddha reincarnation…

Maybe you should move there.

No, they were liberators.

They liberated millions of souls from their bodies.

No doubt they were greated with flowers.

And why do you hate China?

Do you fell that 200+ years of “culture” cannot compete with a culture that is older than the pyramids?

Are you perhaps “just jealous” ?
