Until the Communists cease to rule they will continue to crush all resistance. I am suprised they haven’t invaded Taiwan yet.
Internationally, Taiwan is as a non-entity. And had Bush been presiding over Beijing, you can bet that the sarin-possessing island would have been bombed and invaded long ago. Luckily, the Chinese aren’t hell-bent on world domination.
I personally consider Taiwan part of China.
That’s funny. It was part of Japan from 1592-1945. So, how’s it part of China again?
It’s not, he is just trying to find an angle to bash America, yet again, a place he clearly knows nothing about. This how engulfing yourself in conspiracy damages the brain.

Enlighten me.
Orion is being facetious.
pardon me for not remembering everyone’s true positions, i generally responds to posts, not posters.
No sweat. You made some good points yourself. My class is easily half Chinese and Indians/Pakistanis. And all the Chinese I met are extremely nationalistic.
I am just returning all the crap that was delivered to me because I think spreading a political system with the sword is hardly a good idea.
actually its the only way. political systems are dependent on a institutionalized violence, coercion of the people, to function. And people don’t just “decide” to become coerced. Name any political system in the world, failed or stable, democratic, socialist, autocratic, and I’ll tell you a bloody story.
Though I do agree that governments are basically organized violence, they do need far more than violence to stay in power- without the consent and assistance of at least a determined and rather large minority it is next to impossible to keep control-

Maybe you should move there.
And why do you hate China?
Do you fell that 200+ years of “culture” cannot compete with a culture that is older than the pyramids?
Are you perhaps “just jealous” ?
Uh, aren’t you a Libertarian?
Hatred of America and American policy comes before any other views in his eyes.
In another thread he is trying to support Iran nationalizing it’s oil fields. Quite laughable.
I did never support that.
I questioned the US right to oust a democratically elected government because they decided to steal British oil fields at a time where theft by government was quite common in the US.*
At least try to build convincing straw men.
Plus, your hatred of anything Chinese and Chinese policy obviously comes before anything else in your eyes.
PS: Bonus points if you can explain why in times of automatic asset forfeiture and eminent domain it is not yet time to violently oust the US government and install a brutal dictator.
PPS: Sorry I forgot, they are brown and talk funny. Plus they pray to a different god. Bastards.
Hey, someone send a muslim to Tibet so we can pity the poor oppressed masses.
To clarify, I meant, according to some The Tibetians can eat shit.
I feel sorry for the people of Tibet.
You do not see the Chinese sending in contractors to help restore Tibet’s utilities. The Tibetians are not slaughtering innocent civilians. The Tibetians are also not killing each other. They are protesting years of rule by China. If you can be sympathetic about the plight of the Palestinians, Iraqis, why not the Tibetians?
I was saying someone needs to send a muslim to Tibet so we can pity these people as well.

Who’s saying we shouldn’t feel sorry for the Tibetans?

I could swear you defended sundering Kosovo from Serbia. Am I confusing you for someone else? I could be, so let me know.
As far as I know the people of Kosovo do not go outside of the Kosovo do force people to live their life their way.
This whole thing could probably have been avoided if the Serbs were not so hell bent ln keeping Kosovo but without the Kosovarians.
Yep. Neither side was invading neighboring nations. The foreign powers who installed a new political system by the sword (independence of Kosovo) did.
Yugoslavia was a nation like Iraq. Those tribes were never meant to live together.
