I would possibly agree with you on the premise that Liberal professors are more common and more convinced of their superior perspective than conservative ones, but not one of them is part of some progressive movement.

And that a lot of liberal teachers teach liberalism in subjects unrelated to politics.

An another note to the OP, the only pattern I see is a hyperactive sense of mistrust in our president and his supporters. Worrying about some videos that MINORITIES from URBAN AREAS made about being hopeful that a BLACK president was elected is not a sign of the new Nazi Regime.

Really? you be okay with your kids school being renamed George Bush Elementary, just after his election while teaching him the new school song full of bush’s campaign slogans?

The difference in those scenarios is that you’re talking about a school with tons of Minorities. Under those circumstances, renaming a school after Obama is a reminder of the impact of the civil rights movement to children entering adulthood. You have to realize that a reminder like that is so important when inequality is still felt so harshly. It would be a weird move if it was a predominately white school, but that’s obviously not the case from the looks of the video.

So a school of mostly majorities, could logically have celebrate the election of bush in an elementary school?
White people are the only majority. Why would they logically name their school after george bush? As I mentioned before, ALL of the videos show black or latino kids singing songs of hope that a black man was elected president. You’re really missing the point, it’s not about barrack and a “nazi regime”, it’s really about the kids achieving in school with a specific role model for their situation.

You are out of your fucking mind. The history books they read are packed full of jingoistic conservative bullshit. The president (and authority in general) has always glorified in elementary school.
Yes, books like “Heather has two Mommy’s”. Give it a rest. My children have gone through public school and they’ve read far less about George Washington, the founding fathers and the constitution than I had when I was their age. But, they have read more about black lesbians who have been persecuted by white men. It’s at the same time frustrating and nauseating. My wife and I have been in endless debates with both teachers and administrators.

On the other hand you should be happy, your side is winning. First the College’s were conquered by the lefts agenda (you won’t deny that will you?) and now public schools.

That must have been awful having to say, GASP “God Bless The USA”. Sorry for you man, therapy maybe? :frowning:

I can just see the rabid left wing all bug eyed and red faced had school children been singing praises to GW Bush. Oh man that would have been very funny stuff.

On a certain level it is good to actually see kids give a fuck about politics and positive role models.

But not so good to see indoctrination at such an early age.

I’m bookmarking this thread for posterity the next time a conservative is elected president and we start to go down this whole road again, only I’m fairly certain that many of the same posters are not going to be philosophically musing upon the efficacy of children taking an interest in politics.

Either using our state and school system to indoctrinate children with political ideology is bad, or it isn’t.

Again, if this had been the same kind of thing 4 years prior, it’d be a completely different thread. The hypocrisy is so ripe I can taste it.

Dude, it’s not about fucking politics. This goes for ZEB to, every single video the author showed depicted black or latino people singing songs about hope and achievement. In these instances it’s solely about race and the fact that Barack Obama was elected president. Try and use your imagination a little bit.

Race is all about politics and politics is all about race. At least, that’s the way it is in those countries with somebody whose race stands to gain something from the movement of the chess piece.

Nonsense, if there were a room full of white kids singing praises to GW Bush in a midwestern elementary school a couple of years ago the liberal media would have tripped all over themselves screaming about indoctrination.

It’s just the old nauseating double standard, nothing more.

Imagine white kids rallying for a white president because he’s white. It’s OK if race is EVERYTHING for minorities but it’s evil if whites want to retain theirs.

Meanwhile, whites are being oppressed and slaughtered in Zimbabwe, South Africa etc.
where they are perceived alien.

Were talking about America, obviously whites are minorities in other places in the world but here they are the majority. Racial inequality in this country is still astoundingly high. You sound like a finland native, please don’t take this as offensive but living here gives you a different perspective on this issue.

Utter nonsense eh? Riddle me this ZEB, if this issue is not about racial inequality then how many of the videos the author found showed white kids singing songs of hope about Obama? Try zero ZEB.

I see that you and the poster above have taken my example the wrong way, my mistake for not being more clear. My disgust is about the double standard regarding what a liberal democrat can do as opposed to a republican President. Yes, black children are proud that there is a black President, nothing wrong with that. Furthermore if it moves them toward success then it’s a good thing. But, there is something wrong with a liberal media not the least bit concerned that perhaps this is the wrong time and place to show such pride. In addition to this one can only imagine the mentality of the teacher(s) and school administration that promoted this, assuming that the children didn’t compose the words and music to this little ditty. To my point, if white children would have been singing songs of praise to GW it would have been a major negative headline because the cute children would not have been the story. The story would have been how the republican machine and the evil teachers and administrators involved foisted their political beliefs on these poor, poor children. Yes, I can see the headline:

“Republican Machine Indoctrinates Children”

That is the nauseating double standard to which I was referring.

Yawn. Old news that Fox insists on blowing out of proportion.

It wasn’t an idea of the Obama Administration as I recall. It’s not like they were forcing the school to do a song.

Also, happened MONTHS ago. Get over it, seriously. You guys lost, stop crying.

I didn’t know fox was involved.

this is about the school system/teachers/administrators not obama.

Besides, I’m sure republicans will be over it before dems get over bush.

I agree there were almost completely minorities. However, your conclusion that people that are upset over this are so because of race is absurd. If all the videos are of one race it’s because the people in the video are playing racial identity with the president.

Let me see if I can dumb it down some. Hockey is an almost entirely white sport. Therefore, if you don’t like hockey, you don’t like white people.

Do you see how your conclusion is asinine? Racism is what liberals shout when they are losing an argument.

No, you mis understood me. The reason they sang the songs was because of racial inequality, obama makes a fine black leader. Only you can tell me why you’re so upset about this.

What does “they sang the songs was because of racial inequality” even mean. you admitting these schools/children/administrators are the ones being racist.

How about I’m mad because my tax dollars going to schools are being used as a campaign contribution.
