Child Traumatized by SeaWorld Tragedy

I fucking HATE Sea World and any other “amusement” company that exploits animals.

I fucking hate even more the parents who exploit the death of another person, transfered as “emotional trauma” to their child, for monetary gain.

Nobody wins in that case. Sea World gets a bad rap (deserved), a woman loses her life, a child witnesses a tragedy. The best thing for that kid is time and some counselling.
I’m no marine biologist, but maybe it’s time that we stop fucking around with KILLER WHALES.

They aren’t cute, they aren’t amusing, they don’t enjoy being kept in tanks…they want to be released into the arctic seas so they can do what they do best…KILL THINGS.

These fuckers will scoop up a mouthful of like 6 seals, grind them up into a bloody, blubbery paste and spit them out just for fun, as we might do with a handful of skittles, and people seem surprised when a trainer gets killed.
This! Good post.

Animals kick ass… except one particular species that’s a total anomoly. I think it’s called the Homo sapien, or something.
And they hurt more people than sharks.
The reason for this, is only due to people not having any fear of dolphins and think nothing of interacting with them. Plus, the majority of the times where they might get aggressive, is if someone gets close to their babies or food.

A dolphin attack and a shark attack have nowhere near the same consequences.

Aw shit! I forgot about that episode!

Dolphin rape is common…

^I will forever think of that video whenever I see the words “WATER WORLD”

Ya, who knew the 2nd largest predator on the planet could do some shit like that. Maybe now we’ll learn our lesson and start to captivate some Sperm Whales instead, I bet they can be trained! I mean those scars on their faces clearly means they don’t mind giant squid mauling them, so why would they be agitated by living their lives in a tank that is literally millions of times smaller than their natural habitat.

Did you know that Great Whites dive for giant squid, also? I just heard that recently.

I thought that was pretty damn cool…

Well the presentation name was “Dine with Shamu”.

Seems pretty self explanatory to me.
Inexplicably, Sea World has cancelled the “Dine with Shamu” program.

This case has no chance of surviving. Generally, to sue for emotional distress due to witnessing injuries to a third party, you have to have (1) been in the zone of danger yourself or (2) a close family relative of the third party who got injured/killed (i.e., a child witnessing his brother/mom/dad/sister getting killed). Neither is true in this case.

I predict a demurrer/motion to dismiss for failure to state a claim is imminent.
