Child Traumatized by SeaWorld Tragedy

The show was at lunchtime and called “Dine with Shamu.” Tilikum was just doing her job.

I’m traumatized by this idiotic lawsuit. Idiotic and opportunistic parents and opportunistic husband. I doubt he is a marine biologist. Personal responsibility isn’t a category anymore.

Brilliant! Lets run with this guys. Since I have heard of this lawsuit, I have been deeply depressed. The parents acted and are acting so selfishly and in poor taste I have lost faith in my fellow americans. I can do nothing but wallow in sorrow, I can’t work, can’t sleep, can barley take a satisfying shit. I need to sue these people for a million dollars for ruining my life. PMPM will you represent?

The key is personal responsibility. The first part was to point out a gruesome irony.

Yeah. I caught the irony… and commented on it already. Just being a pain in the ass.

I suppose I have highly over-estimated the lubrication proficiency of blood.

Thanks for the tip.

The only animals my kid will see are from those old school nature shows. The ones where the lions ripped the fuck out of zebras.

Anyone who was there that day could do this and claim “emotional trauma”. This is a bullshit case. We’ve been getting amusement from trained animals since the first bear-baiting or dog fight or some similar event. This shit seriously needs to stop. How would we like it if some superior species took us out of our natural habitat, kept us confined, and trained us to do tricks?

“Trainers were not allowed in the tank with the killer whale, but Brancheau was lying on a shallow submerged ledge when the whale grabbed her by her ponytail and dragged her under.”

Nice, see what thinkg you’re “special” gets you?

“Ladies and Gentlemen” Allow me to introduce Iron Mike Tyson on a uni-cycle, I will now place my ear close to his mouth to demonstrate how tame he is" hahahahahah

I tend to agree. I’ve been to Sea World as a kid but watching them do tricks was actually the least interesting part of the experience. The rides were more interesting…and frankly, Six Flags does it better.

I do not, however, remember thinking the trainers couldn’t get hurt. I have to wonder how naive that ten year old was that this somehow traumatized him for life when his parents weer sitting right there and could control what he was looking at.

Already happened it is called the US Govt and we vote for them.

I fucking HATE Sea World and any other “amusement” company that exploits animals.

I fucking hate even more the parents who exploit the death of another person, transfered as “emotional trauma” to their child, for monetary gain.

Nobody wins in that case. Sea World gets a bad rap (deserved), a woman loses her life, a child witnesses a tragedy. The best thing for that kid is time and some counselling. [/quote]

Word.
The child will learn a valuable lesson - do not fuck around with animals, especially ones a dozen times bigger than you.

Someone should call child services on the parents. I will let you decide on the word, but exploiting a child to make money is ___________.

I will let you decide on the word, but exploiting a child to make money is THE AMERICAN WAY.
sad but true.

Did I hear the story wrong, or did the parents keep the kid there for 40 minutes after this started happening, as well as taking pictures.

More like 293 times as big as you (assuming a 60 Lb boy and an 8 ton orca) And also eqiupped to be mobile in an environment that you are not. I’d kick the shit out of an orca on dry land.

Think the kid may be traumatized now? On the odd chance that this goes to trial, it will just be a warm up compared to the sodomy he will be subject to when they are examined on the stand.

Silly parents.

Well, unfortunately we don’t have very good control of them. We’ve lost our whips somewhere and need to find them again. But that’s a whole other subject.
