Child Protective Services

Wow. What a load of horse shit. I can attest to some of this stuff. My Mom and Dad divorced starting when I was 3, it went on until I was 9. My Mom got custody of my brother and I when I was 5, full time. She, at this point, had not worked since college 15 years before. She was an active (2 DUI’s during 2 years) alcoholic from when I can remember until 2 years ago, I’m now 22. I didn’t see my Dad for several years at a time because my Mom wouldn’t let us… Meanwhile I was learning his trade on my own, so you can tell how big of an influence he was for me.

Kind of a fucked up/stupid situation. My mothers selfishness really fucked up my childhood and it was totally endorsed by the courts. The original reason she got full custody was because a CPS dumbshit wouldn’t allow my Dad to have any visitation because he was a gun owner. He promptly got rid of the guns, still was not allowed to see him. There are thousands of examples like that just from my early life. I can’t imagine what its like all over. Just a load of shit.
Damn man that is depressing :frowning:

My wife is in Healthcare, and this type of stuff happens all the time. Doctors jump to conclusions and write stuff into a chart and report the parents to CPS. I had a friend that was reported. They had to sue the doctor to have the statement in the chart removed. They sued for defamation, but the court ruled against that. Luckily CPS did not remove the children.

This scares me. I have an 11 month old son that constantly amazes me with both his complete lack of fear and his ability to get into, on to, and generally do things I wouldn’t guess that he can. The idea of taking him to a hospital because he broke something or otherwise got hurt through some misadventure is scary, not because he’s hurt, but because of a poison pen or misplaced “concern”.

Took my then Japanese girlfriend to Forbes once for a nasty and persistent nasal infection. Her first experience with an American hospital, and I wanted to be in the room with her and the doctor.

The nurse made it clear that I was suspected of abusing her since I wanted to be there.
Because… you…could have done what exactly to…cause a nasal infection?

It genuinely scares me.
Please expand on this thought.

I had one read me the riot act and accuse me of cheating on my wife due to an indiscriminate UTI.

Cuz women never get those!

Shocking video, I hope she has been fired by now.

Come on, don’t you know anything about how government bureaucracy works?

Incompetence and abuse of power of this magnitude is never punished.

She has, in the great tradition of Lon Horiuchi, probably been promoted.

Well the video is getting an awful lot of views, that can’t be helping her career.

I am sure that this video does not tell the whole story. The issue that I have with the lady in the video is that you should never speak to anyone regardless of how you feel about them or they’re situtation with that much disrespect. It seems as if in the video the guy is showing genuine concern for his daughter.

From the video you can not tell what has caused the situation to get to this point in the relationship between the mother and the father. Outside of the fact that the lady in the video acts like a complete bitch to the guy no one has enough information about this case to form any kind of opinion about what is happening.

Lol, well I think you can get enough from that video. Mother wants the kid on medication because of her “issues” father doesn’t think the kid has “issues” but thinks she’s gifted and needs to be treated differently than everyone else.

The lady was right about the fathers hypocrisy. You can’t be worried about your daughters weight and then feed her soda and mcd’s. If you’re not worried then feed her anything you want. And not for nothing but I’m sure that would have help him out if he brought up to the judge that she was overweight but then used to his defense that when she’s with him she only eats healthy.

Other than that she was a complete bitch and should be reprimanded for her actions.

and lol at an obese person telling someone about how to eat healthy

Absolutely horrific.

Had Orwell actually been able to see the future he woul have called his totalitarian antagonist “Big Sister”.

Agreed, how has this guy not snapped.

Isn’t it great to teach a little girl that her daddy is dangerous and that she needs protection from him?

I’m sure she’ll grow up without any issues towards males…

Well at least her career path is already clear.

It will involve clear heels, with tiny goldfish circling around in them.
